Well, I'll take top 50 or so, I really wanted to finish high enough to see everybody from 1 down. It probably will not happen, but it is close enough.

So, next set.

Thinking of playing a all explore super low key Republic casher, or war monger Dictatorship techer.

What do you think?

Ok, I think this my third set. I have done OK, learned a lot, now I need to finish cashing. I know that there are some things I need to buy to up my net worth and things not to buy.

What are those finishing metrics?

I have found that stealing money or tech points is not that profitable. I was thinking of something a little more sinister.

Find, say a N Indy, typically played by watching the news feed. Come in 20 hours after the last land grab steal the money he got from selling, and burn the crops.

With no money and no food his military would start leaving.

At that point he has to take some net worth losses to get back on his feet.

Do that a few days until he gets land fat then run spy ops until you fail so that he discovers who you are. At that point he should be ready to land grab again breaking GDI.

Once he breaks GDI you hit him with cruise missiles and chem weapons. No nukes, the idea is to make him a target. At some point, if you are successful he becomes the injured animal.

I am new to the game, my sons got me to play a set ten years ago, I am back, mostly to try to get better at trading and reading sentiment, but I am getting more drawn into it.

The info I am getting here is good stuff.

I noticed that on the link to the counties posted for last set that the SPAL was between 25 and 35. It seems that a smaller country could run a higher SPAL and annoy a land grabber until he opened GDI for him.

Hum.. Maybe I ought to try that? A last day money grab...hum

While we're asking questions,

If I have allies and intend to make a strike then let my offensive allies pick up some land from the same land fat country, (its tough now because on of my defensive and one offensive ally are so land fat they would be candidates if they were not allies) would it be better to make a planned strike or use more jets and make a standard strike so that my jets would be available for my allies.

This would see to be safer mode as once a country has been hit by three different people it is difficult to retal against all of them, and once one of the allies does the spying he run the attack calculator for both allies and give them an idea of jets needed., as a bonus the last ally could go ahead and make a planned strike.

Seems workable....

I read somewhere, thought it was last set that someone was stealing money via spy ops, but when I read the help it says that you can destroy money, but you can take it. The only beneficial spy op is the steal tech op. (I forget he proper name)

I lost one of my tech allies. I am teching about a 1000 per turn. Send me an alliance for research if interested. I should be teching for at east a week or more before switching to cashier. When tech drops far enough it will be more profitable to just cash.

Thanks, I destroyed all my research labs and am now building tanks. I think in the next set I will go industrial, and buy massive amounts of oil to sell into te shortage at the end of the reset.

It seems better to buy the tech and spend the turns exploring and building.
