As far as I'm concerned, if you've found a minor exploit that you can use to your advantage, go for it! I'd use an advantage if I had one, we all would.

If what you're doing is cheating, as in mechanically illegal then then Devs will catch you. If what you're doing is cheating, as in considered to be unfair by the players on the server, then the community here will catch you, and force you to see the error of your ways.

That's always been one of my favourite things about his game... If you just start playing, with no prior knowledge, you're going to play a rainbow strat and you're probably going to get yourself into trouble. The players here, especially because of the clan system, have taken this game WAY beyond the scope of its rules, and developed it to the point that you MUST play it in a more or less defined and strategically specified way to be effective. A good example is the generally agreed upon retal format. Nowhere in the game mehanics does it say anything about retalling a landgrab. That is a practise entirely adapted by the folks who play the game. There are, of course, different retal policies, but the general idea is totally novel to this game.

Therefore, the players police the game, is what I'm saying.

So, use your advantage as best you can, and everybody else will decide if you should ever use it again.

Leaving myself out of it... As far as I'm concerned, any clan leader who is big enough to come out an apologize for mistakes made by his membership is a real leader, and should be commended.

I have no issues with IMP. That's why I was suprized by it.

I was wronged by a member of their clan... Not the first time that's ever happened to me in his game, but probably the first time I can remember by IMP.

However, KC is a capable and Honourable FA for his clan, so I spoke with him, and I believe we understand one another.

I would have thought that some of those guys in KA would still be fighting until the very last turn... And apparently a few are, but fewer than I would have hoped.

For the record... Mathais had a few options as to which clan to join, and had planned to do so at the beginnng of this set... Then two things happened pretty much simultaneously.

1. My computer imploded. I can't even boot the fluff anymore. So I have to play in iPhone, which is fine for running countries, but posting on message boards, not so fine.

2. Every clan that I was considering, with the exception of one, got themselves in a war! It wouldn't be appropriate to join a clan while they're at war, so although I had built countries prepared for war, I had to wait it out.

Not if I get an FA contact first. ;)

I'll be making retals, make no mistake. I'm more worried about what the fluff is goin' on that this dude feels like farming, and picks on a 16 country tag to do it. That's how we used to do it back in the old days, when there were thousands of players. But that's not going to work anymore.

Jeremy, have you found a tag yet? It's just me right now, but you could tag UP if you want to.

I log in today and find out that I've been farmed by one member of your clan.

I have to hope that this was a rogue action from someone who doesn't know any better, but I do know better, and I know that that's not how you treat people.

I recognize that I'm a one-man-clan at the moment, and I'll have to deal with some lg's. I'm prepared to retal... But i think it's 6 of my countries have 5 hits each.

Does someone wanna deal with this? Even just give me an explanation, before I take action on my own?

Firstly, the person I was referring to was not a UNITED spy in LCoH, because prior to the incident there was no LCoH. He was a member of UNITED, who left to help form LCoH, and tried to take as much if the membership with him, when he left. I remember this only because it happened almost exactly the same time that I joined the clan, and the game. As I was totally green, I didn't really know what was going on when I got his message telling me that the clan was moving. So, I was the one who ratted him out to our leadership.

Secondly, you're right. There never was any real war between UNITED and LCoH. I wasn't the leader at the time, or else there probably would have been. As it was, we had lost a huge chunk of our membership, not to LCoH with the traitor, but because we decided to war tc and then to join tc. I suppose that the leaders decided to focus on recruitment rather than vengence at that time. However, the way it went down was in very bad form, and I never forgot it.

Thirdly, what threat did I make? I said 'your tag is dirty' because I have disliked the LCoH tag since I first started playing this game, only because of one member whom I know to be dishonourable. I said nothing against any person specifically. I was merely inquiring as to whether the person with whom I hold a grudge is playing under his old tag, a question which had gone unanswered until YOUR threatening post.

Lastly, more countries?!? I'm a one-man-clan playing 16 countries. What the fluff are you talking about? Actually, don't answer that, just stop talking. That'll be better for everyone.

I think the real problem is that they're trying to act like it's a concert, but that's not the venue... It's a football game, in a huge stadium... It's really not a concert setting, no matter how hard you try.
