Congrats Ebert, we couldn't get close, SF you beat me into a faily distant third in the end. With only a few Indies playing I should have done a lot better but messed up the buy out-bounce and didn't even break 40m in the end! Also thanks to CX LaE for doing everyone a favour and taking out Kahuna.

Depending on your strat it's sometimes best to wait until Thursday or Friday to start hitting for better returns but yeah, going crazy on the bots is usually a good idea. The market is the essence of the game though really. If you don't like it maybe try one of the strats that require very little interaction with the market? There are some where it's possible to finish well without selling a single item on the public market.

Thanks that makes sense - even though my pop goes up each turn there's still a gap between pop and max pop hence the decrease whilst exploring and the subsequent increase whilst running turns.

Basically I only have a few indie units, I batch explore, production goes down each turn, oil too is affected. Now when I build a different type of unit production goes up? Is this something to do with population catching up with land? Can anyone explain? Thnx

As far as I knew Industrial sites always produced X units per turn but now it's been changed so they produce X units relative to Industrial unit land percentage. When did this change???

Congrats to winner and all the top 10! I forgot GDI so my set was fluffed from the start. I persisted anyway cause I wanted to try for three express wins in a row. Some griefer idiot wrecked my set (I killed them for that) but it didn't matter cause I wouldn't have beaten that score.

Managed to come from behind and sneak another win (2 in a row!). Was hardly playing TBH but it helped me win in the end cause I didn't draw any attention. Made a bad mistake with not having enough stock for sale when the buyout occurred, that cost me at least 2 billion and finished with a lot of unplayed turns.

Cheers guys, not played express for a while so really happy to come back with a win. Spent all my cash and went to bed an hour before the end, spotted #5 was only a couple million NW away and was sure I'd get up this morning to find you'd caught me in the last hour but I just held on, could hardly have been closer in the end!

Bots used to be a thing back in the earth 2025 days, players using bots to run countries, it was illegal back then and would get you deleted and maybe banned, it confused me when I came back to EE to find that now Bots are legitimate entities but describing something different from back in the day. Anyhow seeing as player bots were a thing back then I don't know why they couldn't still be used now esp on FFA???

You declare war the same as any other kind of attack. You don't have to have been attacked by them previously (unless it's different in this server)?

Thanks for reminding me how GDI works in tournament. I still won game B despite your best efforts. Must be disappointing for you, having built up your country and saved turns to AB / Spy Op / GS the fluff out of me only for it to have precisely zero effect other than my fluff NW total which I don't really care about in game B.

At least two of the many brave time zone warriors who killed me are known fluff players with fluff countries, everyone knows they can't play, net or do anything normally, but they can join in a kill run, as can anyone. One of them also posts whining messages on here when fluff like this happens to them. I won't restart here but next time I'll grief some of these fluffheads next time they decide they want to peacefully net.

I thought suiciding wasn't possible anymore ie wrecking someone then deleting, I've tried to self delete before and wasn't able to as I'd launched an attack within x hours or whatever but I got suicided on this morning in tournament how is this possible?

Congrats to the winner.

My first set back for a while, I never really got into it, didn't really play. There was relentless military price undercutting all set which just wasn't necessary cause it was selling fine but noobs kept lowering the price. I finished with about 600 turns unplayed, never bothered getting the tech or land I needed. Shouldn't have been able to top 10 with this effort but I did??? This is either a bad thing as a lot of good players have stopped playing or maybe a good thing as we have a lot of new noobs who will maybe stick with it and get better???

In the last 6 hours of the set you can only grab countries who have previously attacked you - I've done the same, I have like 600 turns saved and at least 5k short of the land I need cause I took the kids to see Secret life of pets 2 instead of grabbing bots.

Should be able to work this out by subtracting the bots from the total players. Last time I checked it was around 40 or 50 players. I used to play every set until about March. Only played a few times since then and only once I think taking it seriously. Top 20 is not even worth talking about in express anymore and it's ridiculously easy to top 10 if you play properly or aren't experimenting etc. Some sets even top 5 is not much of a challenge.
