I started attacking you while i was in the middle of attempting to go into a tech phase. I very much failed.

What Notorious said brings up the mind set that occurs after you make a successful grab.

It can take some effort to make that first grab. Figuring out amount of def their allies have, military and tech through successful spy opts.
After that you can grab the country (unless you want to attack blind). Now that you know what will break based on the losses given, you have a oppertunity to avoid using more turns by grabbing that same country for the same break. Its a much easier thing to do to make a grab after you know the break. Not 'punishing' that kind of behavior will make it habit forming against your alliance. Then you start getting double tapped all the time.

This goes back to grabbing within periods of time. Atleast when you grab on day 10 then on day 25, the time is spread out and military would of changed. Within a day the chances the break would change on that country is much less unlikely.

Its an example of past wars that have dictated what kind of FR enviroment that we are currently in. If wars panned out differently from the past, the way we look at certain retal policies today would likely be different.

It basicly comes down to what alliances believe is acceptable, and if they can back up those beliefs vs those alliance who do not agree with those beliefs.

It is my assumption that based over a period of time, that is a very general policy that is widely accepted because its what most alliance feel is acceptable right now.

I am just trying to explain why this kind of policy is used now a days, not the reasoning behind them (because there are a wide range of varying reasons to be given on why this is acceptable).

My reasoning to why I think this is the generally accepted retal policy is because its is an aggressive approach to dealing with retals that have been put in place by aggressive alliances who like to war.

I am not sure of the details, but I think SoL was helping NA out (dont qoute me just guessing) and once NA and Imag made their peace SOL followed suit with a ceasefire.

One issue with L:L is that sometimes it takes 3+ grabs to make up for a single grab. Escalating grabs are atleast a controled method of doing retals. Besides if you knew how to play your country you should be able to get your land back plus some in a single grab anyways.

Also, if retals were not escalating, how would you be able to deal with a country that grabbed you 14 times in a 7 day period? Just as an example.

Also, there were great wars in the past against L:L and the L:L side lost :P

DH, I am having a difficult time attempting to understand how your feeling because of the way your communicating yourself on the public forums. I can see obvoiusly you are extreemly upset at being detagged and put on vacation for the rest of the reset if you feel that you have not been correctly commicated too about past issues.
What i am confused about though are your goals and intentions. Maybe you think the only way your able to grab the heads of SOLs attention is to post on the forums, or maybe the members themselves in an attempt to get invited back. If thats the case, all you need to do is wait the set out. Lets end the silliness here.

If that is not the case, then to me it seems you are attempting to cause issues. You have had multiple chances to avoid being untagged and put in vacation during this situation (I dont think i need to list them out one by one). Yet every time an opportunity came up to make things right, you decided to do what you felt was right for yourself. There were other avenues you could of taken but did not. And here we are.

I am here, addressing you, so that is why my focus is on you. I am not attempting to be patronizing. I am not attempting to put you down and say you were wrong.

What I am attempting to do (I hope you can see) that I wish that you step back for a moment in an jesture of good faith to see the situation as a whole, and address any further issues that arise step by step.

I would rather it turns be given every 3 minutes instead of 4 minutes.

That way instead of only 1800 turns we would be given 2400 turns, but I guess the down side of that is that it would be much easier to kill people and catch them off guard.

I guess Ill be simply pleased with my own results.

Just wanted to express my thoughts on my first impressions on the changes in EE.

After coming back after semi-odd years, its nice to finally see the game up-to-date.

Everything makes a lot more sense, great tips for new players, it seems more balanced.

Its a shame that there are not a lot of players in the game at the moment. I also do not see many sources of income for the website.

I am sure these things will be improved in the future.

Overall, glad to be back playing.
