also I tried to be as honest as I could about stuff given that it's all in the past. Also note that some of that history differs a fair bit from Sol and IX's version of events just because the perspective was somewhat different.

the thing is that the sof site itself doesn't list the dates only reset numbers. Reset 0001 (test reset) was summer of 1999 I think. I joined sof their first real reset which I think was around there. I didn't make my KILLERfluffY persona until after I had joined sof since my sof nick is martian not killerfluffy and I remember helmet asking me if I ran the fluff multies (see my wiki entry on fluffy_alliance :P)

We'll try to figure it out.

Reset 0004 - Fighting Laf and Avengers
During this Reset, SoF membership increased to 85 and the training tag remained at about 40 trainees. During this Reset, D'Matt and Scorpion were promoted to head. This Reset started off slow. With SoF netgaining well and focusing on training. A month into the Reset, a couple of KoH countries suicided on SoF and KoH refused to take responsibility. Combined with the difficulty of contacting their FA, this caused much tension and our spy team performed spy ops in the event tensions did not ease. Our spy team discovered 8 multies in KoH, a 30 member alliance. SoFs response was immediate, in 24 hours, SoF killed 14 of the 15 largest KoH members, 9 in the first 4 hours. An 4 multies in the KoH tag, after a peace agreement was reached. Helmet and most of SoF was disappointed at the shortness of the war. The members of SoF then voted on how to finish the Reset by a 3:1 vote, the members wanted a real war. Things had been peaceful with the Avengers since the first war, but both sides started exchanging grabs. Eager for war, SoF attacked. Killing 11 Avengers in the first 24 hours, 9 of which were in the top 200. LaF entered the war 24 hours later. Then, Talon entered 36 hours later. Then, followed by Age. Helmet believed that SoF was being gang-banged called in his allies. ICN struck Talon, Armageddon struck LaF, and several other alliances struck Age. At this point, a partial ceasefire was arranged calling for the withdrawl of all but SoF, Armageddon, LaF, and the Avengers from the conflict. At this time, a LaF leader, to remain nameless, forwarded Helmet some HTML of Don Duque and other LaF members bragging about mass babysitting. LaF admitted to sharing logins and logging into multiple countries under attack on the boards. Armageddon remained in the war till LaF members quit logging into each others countries. The war last to the end of the Reset with the kill count being approximately 100 dead LaF/Avengers to 70 dead SoFers.




I was the head of AGE and Duque asked me to form a coalition of small alliances to strike SOF, then after a day or so were told to stop hitting. I was supposed to be given a DL position in LAF the following set with members I brought over from AGE, but all but 2 ended up being rejected and I was simply made a full member, Duque fed me more bullfluff again and again after that and a set or two later I left LAF until Duque left for IX. lol

lol. Any assistance/formatting/filling in the blanks would be appreciated. I have some more stuff I would like to add including some convos with chinook but I'll hold off:P

Reset #0048: SoF FS IX and PWNED NA

NA beat SoF this round. The only thing that saved SoF from a tagkill was the round ending. Smurfy was one of 2 orginals left.

The way i remember the round:
SoF ran over IX. NA farmed out ZT. SoF got bored and hit NA. your activity sucked balls and after your initial lead, NA pulled ahead due to bigger stocks + more activity. Crysk and I ran the war on our end. This is the round ivan died due to alleys bunny rabbit unplugging his speakers. Martian was pretty inactive with wog ae in full swing. i think chaz was running things?

i only remember this so well as it was my last real active set in NA.

someone on SoFs end please confirm/dispute.

i seem to remember us (horizon) getting killed by sof and i was only in horizon for 1.5 resets (resets 0010 and 0011 my finishes are on waybackmachine, in UCN and Rage respectively), maybe helmet/patience/someone else has a better memory than i do

also, this would mean that reset 0001 was the july 99 reset

That is a terrible analogy. You are talking about a very common, *harmless*, habit that children have and comparing it to cheaters. Cheaters have no sense of competition, a warped sense of accomplishment, and no pride in their ability. Not to mention small penises. Cheaters are losers.

That wasn't common practice in OMega fruit cake.. although it did happen. Secondly, is it babysitting to play 10 countries to get a kill? I thought you were protecting them from dying? Is there a bug where you die while attacking? Holy cow. I should be more careful when I am attacking. I would hate to die. One minute you are opening up a can of whup arse and the next you are dead. It's a crazy game.

In order to help this alliance proceed to yet another level we have made some changes in the leadership structure.

Blood Saber and Shuggah will be the two heads in the merger with TIE.

This reset has had an extreme decrease of communication at the highest level of leadership and we needed changes to be made to insure that the people in charge of your alliances well being were able to both work together and communicate efficiently. This was not happening with the previous leadership and absolutely could not continue into the next one.

RoCK has had to make tough decisions in leadership changes before and they are never spontaneous, vindictive or have alterior motives. They are made for the wel being of the alliance and only for the alliance.
Chuck and Maggots will be moved to leader status and both will be given prominant leadership positions and will be asked to help this alliance continue to grow and prosper.

This is not the first time a decision like this has had to be made, the last one was less than a year ago, but then, as now, it had to be made.

The leadership group did a good job, had good intentions and their ideas will be followed through. We will not allow cheating, we will proceed with pursuing the merger and we will clean up RoCK's image.

Communication is the key to being the best, and we will once again rise to the top of the Echelon world.

i dont really care who the RoCK heads will be.
leadership is more than a friggin title.

a leader is one who is willing to sacrifice for the advancement of the team.
a leader is someone who wont quit when the going gets tough.
a leader is someone who leads by example and not by command.
a leader is someone who cares more about the state of the people around them then themselves.
a leader is someone who is willing to compromise when it is called for.

ANYONE in RoCK who fits these descriptions is a leader to me.
whether it be a member with level one access or it be a head with level 6 access.

so quit griping obout who is a head or not cause it really dont mean fluffe!
i would rather be planning strat with my squad than sitting there in a chat room with a buncha alliance leaders full of BS anyday.

I agree Mizuno, I really do. I also am not the type of person to follow someone I feel no confidence in and that is why I am protesting the decision. I have never once said I was infallible. However, I am honest and straightforward and care about not only Rock's future but also it's honesty and integrity.

Wog/Rage/Rival got left high and dry by everyone, but that was expected and at the beginning of reset #0036 this was discussed and it was decided that the greater good of the game was more important, especially given rival/wog leadership saw nothing but futility in Earth2025. Some Ragers still wanted to kick on... but as we can see today.. probably not the best decision:p Split up SLIT, show that the combined weight of the server is superior and hopefully show SLIT that there is no future with the server as it was. Seemed to work:p with the netters like LCN et al getting away without too much pain. Especially given they were all in on it:p

No pacting was elite, great idea from IX and WoG, was all about it. Netgainers cried like girls about it.

Overall, SoF has a great history, of hilarious shenanigans, should be proud!!

Dragonlance: I did have access to the site as it was set up the set prior. That didn't mean that we had made a decision as to who to side with. I was also talking with SoL leadership (makinso I think) a fair bit at the same time. I think good portions of the IX leadership was convinced that we were just playing them, however that wasn't really the case until the very end.
In any case sof kept at least one member of SLIT busy for the following 3 sets voluntarily or otherwise:P

@slip: yeah I think you are right. I was just copying what was posted on the sof history board (most of which was not written by me). Some of the individuals posting there were somewhat biased:P

I remember owning IX that set, and its true that i died cause of the speaker plug falling out but i dont remember loosing the 2nd war with NA? tbh i can barely remember that war at all so im not saying slip is wrong either

I think we just suicided into NA for lack of anything better to do tbh. Slip: if you have anything on the NA boards about that set that you could share it would be appreciated.

Actually we did hit NA, we thought it would be funny to beat 2 tags the same size as us in one set but the earlier war vs IX had drained us a bit of stock/fluff

We didn't have any intention of beating NA.. just pissing them off I'm pretty sure. Dates for resets are posted. It should be 99% correct.

Also I'll add that the reason AGE/TALON and what was soon to be more smaller alliances joined in to FS SOF was earlier in the set, someone posted a war dec on AT under my name at SOF. I came by a few posts later with my authenticated nickname and said it was false, which added to the fact that AGE didn't fire a single hit at SOF. Helmet basically said 'who cares my time is being wasted checking to see if this is real' and set AGE to farm. We had ~35 members that set and within a day all of us ate 5+ grabs and were hit for several more days being farmed.

I remember Xerg mentioning to me something about how IX was formed by a bunch of smaller tags and it was partly due to SoF. Don't know how much truth there was to that.

Ivan: I just pasted as much as I could from sof's history boards. I figured that others would edit/fix any discrepancies. Some of it is opinion rather than fact and some of it may be completely incorrect. Will fix as it is discussed.

Warring against SLIT in those coalition wars (against SOL/IX anyway) was always a pleasure as it we were taking on other players who were more than worthy of our aggression.
