Twelve countries in Europe, as well as Australia, Canada, Ecuador, Malaysia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore, and Venezuela have enacted some form of breed-specific legislation on pit bull-type dogs, including American Pit Bull Terriers, ranging from outright bans to restrictions and conditions on ownership. The state of New South Wales in Australia places restrictions on the breed, including mandatory sterilization. A few counties, and cities in the United States as well as the Province of Ontario in Canada, have outright banned ownership of the American Pit Bull terrier, and the breed is banned in the UK.
1. Pit Bull – To anyone who knows dogs, the American Pit Bull Terrier is no surprise at #1 on a list of deadliest dogs. In this study the Pit Bull stood far ahead of all the other breeds with 66 fatalities attributed to it. Known for their extremely aggressive nature, many states have legislation banning the breeding of pit bulls
as with all dogs there as some risks involved but there is no doubt the pit breeds are more agerssive than others.
Boston terrier--The breed is an American creation, resulting from a cross between an English Bulldog and a white English Terrier.
The Pit Bull Terrier was created by breeding Old English Terriers and Old English Bulldogs . Not English Bulldogs "Old English Bulldogs are an extinct breed but are what the pit was created from.
