Well, the guy I tried to attack doesn't appear to have lost any mil by defending & the news feed picked up no attacks... and I've lost nothing attacking either... so undoing my ps'd jets brigades would sort it I think (if possible)

Don't undo the 200m+ stock I've sold in the last 5 mins though... damn, this is looking messy. I have some screenshots of sales/mil etc if it would help.

hmm buggy stuff...

"A fatal script error has occurred" when trying to ps in express just now (edit: removed my standing mil info) result:

I tried to attack once by ps, and only had enough oil/jets for 1x 1.14m jets, definitely didn't need 5 attacks (and shouldn't ps the same jets 5 times at once as they should be out in the first strike) Also didn't get any break/failed screen or landgain/jet loss (just the script error)

thanks izarcon, good finish yourself. military prices were very high at the end... $189 turrets will always favour a commie. the high nw again surprised me though... i was forecasting 26 before i got hit, which on reflection should have been a lot higher potential.

I think a "sell max" button at least is called for next to every commodity to auto-fill the sell quantity box. Particularly for the mobile interface (you should still have to set the selling price manually though)

yes just adding my support to this suggestion - store spy ops or at least give the user the option to opt-in and save them for later reference (might help reduce server space if opt-in)

how about giving the user the option, but with warnings for the newer players to avoid mistaken disclosure?

e.g. a radio button for each stat on your advisor page (edit: I mean once pasted into eestats), rounded as previously described, plus add a "5% randomise" button next to each to add a random variable on request. it could even be displayed as the advisor page with the interface buttons overlayed next to it.

it would have to be opt in for everything, but you could have a "recommended" button that shows just the minimum few outputs for each govt type/strat, with +/-5% randomisation on all stats under this heading by default.

this way you give complete user control but with some protection for new players built in. it is anonymised by rounding plus the randomisation factor on request.

might be too heavy on the setup for bore though ;)

also, still doesn't feel anonymous enough to me even with the rounding etc.

I've encountered this also - when I accidentally clicked on "report" on an in game message, it asked me if I wished to report a different player to the one who had messaged me, but with the same number (confusion between the tiers perhaps?)

More of you should play tourney, it just needs a few extra to get it going, and only takes a few minutes per-day.

Might it work if you make it so you are awarded 1-turn-building's worth of acres? So whatever your bpt is you get daily?

This would encourage higher bpt's, which would help reduce the impact of land-loss on newer players and increase the total land in each server considerably.

It would also remove the difficulty in deciding what to do with scraps of land and add a new element to the bpt calculations...

It might skew strats too much though... I'm happy with the new free land either way... just an idea.

the strength of fasc farmer is being able to sell via pm @ $32, or on the market if food prices/1.06 is greater than $32... the flexibility is great in exploiting the booms but having a reliable netting fallback that doesn't depend on the market.

it is also a stronger strat in the second half of the set when people start stocking and food prices rise.

on a downside you don't make much early on until you get your tech levels up.

I was ab'd for nearly 5k acres though, you also enshula, so even if everyone else was ab'd as well, they'd still be up there with us at 17M rather than 21M...

I'd given up and logged off so didn't see the final hours, but didn't expect to even make the top ten. close finish anyway.

it's not managed to capture the old tourney feel for sure... used to be one of my better servers.

i like the concept of no allies, but the practicalities aren't so great... you sometimes need to be able to drop some mil without it ruining your entire defence/strat.. allies help mitigate this.

Perhaps a quicker time-to-market would help with this in in lieu of allies? what 1 or 2 hours sound about right? or have a "pay for immediate market" option... cost 3 turns? I dunno... needs more fluidity somehow IMO, but obviously a bigger player base would help wonders ^^

Yup, both players are taxed... not how it works with real tax, is it? each transaction gets taxed once.

Anyway, something to do with the tax would be my guess for the random rounding error, just because everything else about a sale is based on a whole integer.

strange one. the actual maths = $260,442,000 so it'll have to be rounding errors. how rounding errors occur on an item that has to be put for sale at a unit price..? ok, I've an idea... here's a theory:

the person selling has to put it for sale at unit price for set units (150,000 tanks for $490), and there can't be rounding errors in whole numbers.

the only slightly complicated item is the tax @ 1.06, so it's likely to be in the way the tax is calculated/added.

in fact, it seems to me tax is added twice.. the person selling is charged tax on sales, and the person buying is charged tax on market purchases...
