Are there formulas for this somewhere?

eh majority of the people/alliances I know in alliance have retired. alliance game seemed pretty stale before i left / camping targets and such. now it seems probably worse in terms of just bot farming.

primary actually seemed like it would be fun as i only played 1-2 sets in ee, but with this dismal target pool it actually really isnt as grabbing is what keeps the game interesting. seeing what you can get away...without getting your country wrecked =P

what did they switch to? does it make sense at this point? seems tech prices are still pretty good though...

First time in 7 years for me too, but I don't think things changed that much other than the thin market and player pool

Generally for CI some things right now for endgame

-Avoid getting hit
-Sell max to max techs and lower expenses for now
-Max techs, indy, bus, res, military
-CI you probably keep growing until about 3-5 days out of endgame since you don't really have that much of a stocking phase or a cash/research button
-Stock up the last 3-5 days and just buy out your troops, tanks, jets, turrets in the end

Even though it actually seems a farmer/oiler set, doesn't seem to be any big farmer/oilers. Pretty interesting as I never really understood who supplied the oil market other than random rainbows previously, but I've never played with the new oil destock (though I'm assuming that's not that useful in primary as in alliance). Kind of curious how this set ends up as I feel like everyone is just maxing on turns without food and oil to run turns. This will probably make for interesting grabbing/retaling mechanics as people jump up and down.

Just too lazy to calc at what price is oil worth building yourself =P

Been looking aroudn but can't find anything on it. Memory is foggy - so over $2B if you run turns, then a % decays now?

Techers seem lazy this set. Looking at past sets this seems to be historically the highest priced tech set in primary ever. Do your jobs =P

First time playing in ages, but I'm probably one of the biggest GDI offenders. Single taps and not hitting someone more than once isn't natural for this game. There's no real implied rules of not being able to hit people more times or even 1:1 or retals - those were just made in alliance over the years. If you're fat or improperly defended, you should get hit more than once. I haven't really looked, but I doubt anyone that really follows the single tap rule to a T actually finishes well (I might be wrong with the new environment though). I don't think in the past I've ever explored on a country past like 2-4k acres and usually I've always grabbed out of protection, but this with the small pool it really is tough to hit more so I have been exploring rather than doing more hits.

My view on GDI is it stops unwarranted suiciding, but if you hit people more than once (or even once) technically they should be able to do whatever they want with you. Part of grabbing has always been looking at the target's country buildup/attack patterns and gauging risk versus reward. Do I want to be lazy and save a few minutes looking for a new target or multi tap and potentially piss off the current target more? Though with less players this isn't always about being lazy anymore.

If you hit someone (including a retal), better make sure you're able to defend it or ready to war about it.

It used to be rare that producing troops or tanks would be worth it compared to selling and buying (though I might be wrong)

I usually close the day with 1-5 turns of spies depending on how many I failed/need to replenish so I didn't have to run the expenses for my turns but I have the spy def for when I'm off

I remember in the past there were basically two versions.

Super short around 2k acres->~35-50k tech
4k-> 80-100k tech

It's really never too late for a career change if you want. I actaully have a lot of friends and friend's companies that have either enrolled in coding bootcamps or hire a ton of coding bootcamp grads. Generally from what I know they're like 3 month intensive skill training with usually close to 6 fig job placements after.

Random first post back after not being on EE for years.

The problem with complaining about wages and jobs - it's usually what value both you and that job bring to the table. I think people are also fed BS about being able to love what they do and follow their dreams. I'd rather make enough money to pay for whatever dreams or things I want to buy.

Well business I'm working on is importing/manufacturing/branding products for e-commerce.

Lol the majority are 1000W lights. Though I do have customers that are organic farms growing cucumbers and such, but marijuana is just the bigger cash crop.

What Xinhuan posted. It seems like they dumbed down everything and made one way of playing the game for everyone so that it would be more appealing ot the general public without much difficulty (that you couldn't overcome by just purchasing something).

they have a lot of different benefits. you can take out your cardholder agreement or search online or call a csr and ask. amex ones are fairly consistent (at least for buyer protection stuff) across the board, but visa/mc etc depend on the card issuer

there's also one that's like free accidental damage protection. i remember buying a smartphone a while back, dropped it, called them and instead of sending it back (because of all the broken glass) i just took pictures of it and they gave me a full credit

also return policy ones. like if the store doesnt take a return on a product on a certain time frame you can return it directly to amex up to a few months later i believe. i used to do this with textbooks in college as the bookstore did not accept returns

No matter what you buy though-

Usually laptops come with 1 year warranty. Buy it on a credit card that doubles your warranty (all amex and check on your other cards). The Amex warranty is amazing, just send it back to them they fix it or they refund your full purchase price.

new macbook pro is not upgradeable either just like the air

though you never really stated budget. another + for the new macbook pro even though it's super overpriced
