Nope. Logout, forum appears, login, forum disappears. It's weird!

Apparently I can only look at the "Questions and Answers" forum if I am not logged in. As soon as I login to my forum account, the forum dissapears from the forums list, and if I try to go there by visiting a direct link to that forum, it tells me that "You do not have access to this forum!"

Why do I lose access to that forum when I am logged in? Seems really bizarre.

Bonus points can last up to almost 72 hours, but always more than 48. It is -really- easy to get 16 points for the defense bonus, unless you are making a habit of skipping bonuses.

Congrats to Pangolins! 176m nw is out of hand. I seriously doubt I would have hit 176m if I hadn't gotten hit, though I probably wouldn't have been too far from it. Awesome country!

Well, they FA'd 229 into the top ten and knocked out one of our countries from top 10 in the process. Whether that is "wrong" or not isn't for me to say, but I am pretty sure it was stated even in the last week by LAF that they don't FA into the top ten anymore, so at the very least it is somewhat disingenuous.

I lost 1 point due to this earlier today as well. Glad it wasnt 8!

Myself I think it works fine as it is. You guys just need to derive/determine the new explore rate tables with the bonuses active.

You see, the explore bonus is applied in the same way that the rep explore bonus is applied. So when the explore bonus is active, the points at which your acre/turn drops are different than when the bonuses are not active. Figure out these points, and you'll be good.

At least the table for 20% explore bonus for non-reps is easy, it's just the same as a rep with no bonus active. :P

Using an android phone (and probably iphones as well), if you type in http://www.earthempires.com/bonuses you are just redirected to the mobile portal page, where there is no link to the bonuses page.

http://m.earthempires.com/bonuses does the trick though i just realized, but i still think there should be an actual link to the bonuses page on the mobile portal.

Currently, unless I am missing something, the only way to get your bonuses if you are logging in with a mobile device is to actually login to a country, because there is no link to the bonuses from the mobile portal page.

Any chance this link could be added at some point? I play alot from my android phone, and it is annoying creating countries on random servers just so I can get my bonuses without logging into alliance.

I really like the new bonus system, but I think that it would be really awesome if we were able to get the bonuses once in each 24 hour period, rather than once every strict 24 hours.

I log in on a rotating 18 hour schedule to get as many extra turns as I can, and now with this as it is, it makes the timing just that extra bit more complicated.

The wikipedia article makes some interesting/promising claims for these "sugars", and seems to back them up with references to articles in what appear to be peer-reviewed journals. I don't have access to most of the journals cited though, nor the qualifications or inclination to say whether or not the claims made are actually justified by the research.

But hey, maybe forgotten isn't just a snake oil salesman; there actually does appear to be some promising research here!

Still skeptical though... :P
