Iccyh try just answering the questions instead of putting your spin on it "you got what you deserve"

I could care less that he wants to throw away every upcoming reset as a grudge thats his call. I'll survive just fine when I don't change both strategy and government mid set. I just wanted to know if other players here would have acted in the same way when a guy late retals and basically leaves his front door open with no D and no real way to punish you for breaking GDI

So I fluffed up my kill run and this guy got off the hook. Not like he was ever making a good finish with the gains he got anyways. He has since messaged me threatening to go on kill runs on BYOB forever now since I ROR'ed him last game. He's clearly angry and didn't like my reasoning for it but I think alot of countries would have acted the same.

Question
If someone goes all/heavy jetter past turn 1500 to retal you would you ROR or accept the retal?

In the case last week I hit this guy heavily after he got approx. 4mil jets:1mil turrets. He also had no significant troop/tanks/spies/nukes so he had no chance to deal damage.

The guy randomly targeted me early game when I had no D at 1900acres and just kept repeating. Unfortunately a demo vs a dictator early game meant I have never been in position to take a reasonable retal so instead I have hit other people. His responses to messages indicate he is probably a newer player since he asked why he got less returns on subsequent attacks.

I'm pretty sure the one-upping isn't a misconception.

People want to pay the minimum on the market which is why the $1 occurs. Even though you are cut out of everything except that price point very often tech is sold at the standing order thereby cutting out the bottom SO and allowing you do get it at basically same price.

I also like to make SO's only buying 1 unit that 1 up low SO's in the hopes that if an idiot actually sells that low I'd rather it hit the market than get taken by the flipper

Woot finally got the win!

Was interesting being for the most part the only food on the market. I bought out around 30mil bushels(@$60-70) and resold on private late morning/afternoon to kill supply. After that it was trying to find a price point that actually sold. Seemed anything over 100 started to price people out(wouldn't spend turns at a net loss). I'm wondering if i just kept my food at 120-150 if I still would've sold all my stock

Nothing wrong with the hit from a rules standpoint. As Xin stated this is simply a fluff move since at this point in the game the hit actually hurts PuffyCheek's net finish.

Not a big fan of the tech change since good countries use the market to protect bushels,oil and cash. This gives the bottom fed country 0 effective retal options

How come the GDI window states it doesn't protect you from SS,PS,steal tech,etc. yet you are prevented in game from stealing tech against a GDI opponent

^Still it was a big land grab against a well built target(at the time at least). The first message I was clearly angry that my attack bounced and decided 24hrs later I wasn't gonna just let him get away with that big of a gain. I clearly stated that the choice was on his end to accept the retal and move on or not and he choose war over netting.

Gs only works if you send enough attacks to dent the pop. I've seen alot
of people lately send like 10-15 gs where all they do is give the opponent dr but barely affect production

Well I had 1st on autopilot now it'll be closer. Not like it really matters since with the mass joining last fews sets everyone gets pushed game A. Also I had 50% SDI and just got unlucky on the amount I stopped.

First he goes all jetter and hits me when he has around 1500 turns remaining. Than he ROR's me at 1600 plus used. I already had a country killed day 1 and even behind about 100turns was in good position to make top 10 as Tyranny. Guy seriously thought building 2K as techer at 1600 turns was a good netting move

Apparently 49 hitting me there was accidental. Also didn't understand why meloj hit me as it was his only attack at that point and I thought my news made it clear a retal would occur. Also 16 and 32 launched some ror's but thankfully not at me

Celphi I'm just surprised no one else Is willing to take the hit on you given your turret count. Even with dict and tech bonus it's a relatively easy break for massive gains. Another 30min and you'll be clear also

It's already well known that a dictator can break anyone if they want the way bonuses stack up. At least with under 1400 turns spent I'll still be in good position to bounce back

Also be aware that you can still be retalled fairly easily if the player had GDI without failing an OP. All a player has to do is try sending a missile/gs/ab against every player until they hit the correct target and thus won't get the unable to launch an attack due to GDI

Ya early game I was heavy jet but I stopped at 2million jets and than got D. Silent had about 9mil jets and 2mil turrets this morning.

Silent was setting up for a shot at the win like me but was playing greedy with no D. Like I said if he took a retal and had some D I would've let it go and he probably had the win. In this case I spied him after the hit and than promptly double tapped him with around 1million jets each time for more than 1k acres a hit

Was setting up to do alot better but than EnterpriseNX went all jetter solely to take a retal. I would've let this go if he had more D and not 80% jets. Unfortunately although I held most of his attacks and gained alot of land at his expense I lost my shot at the win.

Same thing happened last week wit LiveMax#84 who finished 3rd. I can't remember who was hitting him but the news feed made it pretty obvious that he was being helped with permanent DR
