SoL lacks quality war leaders and strategists. This was evident by their failure to turn last resets war around when they brought DK in. They really did make a dogs breakfast of that.

DK should have been given a few days to bump their SPAL's and then coordinated a FS consisting of pure AB cripples against RD/Rivals remaining breakers. That would have done the trick. Any war head worth a fluff would have realised this. Instead they dropped the ball and ended up throwing DK under a bus.

#4 is the right spot for them.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is the RD/Rival combination is much greater than the sum of it's parts, and should be recognised as such when determining rankings.

Don't forget the war last reset was RD/Rival vs Sol/LCN/DK. I see too many people stating it was RD vs SoL which is incorrect, especially when used as a basis for rankings.

The combination was a good one, with both alliances bringing different strengths to the table.

Combined, I'm sure they would be nipping at LaF's heels, but on their own, I think they are ranked about right.

Yeah I like the 2 country suggestion. The second country should be automatically generated when you create your primary country and should also have certain limitations built in (i.e can't tag/can't do ops on tagged countries/can't do special attacks).

If you don't play your second country then it should just accumulate a certain amount of acres per day.

My take (I may have misinterpreted some of the changes).

1a) Penalising fast hitting is lame.
1b) Penalising good players is lame. This encourages lemmings. Lemmings are lame. Good players will stop spending time and effort building a decent country when they realise it can be easily ground down with lemmings.

2a) Good change.
2b) Let's see how this goes.
2c) SPAL's are getting ridiculous. Increasing minimum success rates exasperates the problem. Lame. Ideally, MORE failures are required to keep spals in check. Destructive ops are overpowered. eg, a 20k acre country should not be able to lose 6k buildings to 25 destructive ops from a 6k acre country (as happened to me this reset) despite having similar spals. Ridiculous.

In general, these changes tend to pander to mediocre players/alliances. Rubber band FTL.

There were only 5-6 who received just shy of 20 mill NW in aid from RIVAL. I know this because I kept a tally in excel. No-one is denying that aid was sent.

DK have sent roughly the same amount to 4-5 select SOLers (spanning several restarts), as is their right, as it was RIVALs right to do so last reset.

The obvious difference is that RD were able to make use of the aid, and push on for a victory. The aid going to SOL is finding its way to a big smoking hole in the ground and is mostly ineffectual.

It really isn't an issue.

I agree Xinhuan, but for now, sending FA packages is the only effective way to slow down a kill run long enough to allow your guy to get online.

I think this thread is nothing more than a whiny knee jerk reaction to a successfully stalled KR (due to a lack of turns and re-breaking power to finish it up) and is nothing more than a vent of frustration.

Wow. I argued this case with various members of Rival. It looked pretty obvious to me that SoF were being unreasonable. Most were quick to jump up in support of SoF which annoyed me immensely. This has been beneficial for me two reasons. Firstly, the oil required to kill #7 helped my wallowing oiler realise a semi respectable finish, and secondly (and probably more importantly), I need to find myself a new home amoungst people who share similar views and ideologies for how I think this game should be played now.
