So, I'm running an experiment. Over the past several years, I've taken for granted that Global warming exists. But, recently, a number of people that I hold in high esteem seem to have come to the conclusion that Global Warming has been proven false.

I'm wondering if my own opinions about this are clouded by the bias of already being on one side of the issue. So I want to take the other side. I'm hoping that any here who truly believe Global Warming to exist will present evidence to prove it.

I intend to find whatever holes I can in these arguements and see if they still hold water. Others are welcome to join in against Global Warming if they wish, but I want the pro-warming crowd to get aa good run.

Outside sources will likely be necessary, but I'd like the arguements to be articulated by those participating. Don't just post a link to your favourite website on the subject.

If this doesn't work here, I'll go find another forum.

There are scientists and the scientific method for a reason.

Why should you care about what uneducated people you don't even know think?

Be less emotional and more rational.

This whole "controversy" reminds me a lot of "If You Don'T Have Facts Or Law, Hammer On The Table".

The correct answer, if there is any, to science you disagree with can only be more and better science.

I disagree Eric171. Science that depends on government funding is not science.

Most science is funded by governments at one moment or another, klown, with good results, I might add. Who funds the study does not matter as long as there is no interference with the result.

Either way, if you guys (as an economical and/or ideological group) are not happy with the results, the solution is not to put up stupid fluffs that aren't weather scientists (or related fields) to spell atechnical crap on TV/press. That only make your position look bad.

Try to get better science done, following the scientific method. Then publish it, submitting it to review by the scientific community.

That is how real solid science is done.

bunch of pseudo scientists trying to make sense of out temperature data? really - it's not that difficult to see HUMAN's effect on climate change.

I think it has to do with funding being directly correlated with how much they can blame humans for global warming. Or maybe the the head guys starting the organization(IPCC) to prove humans were causing global warming. Or perhaps the emails showing they were skewing the results.

Bottom line, the earth is warming, but no more so than it has in the past. MIT released a 20 year study last july saying they didn't believe CO2 was a greenhouse gas and therefore causes none of the warming. They based that analysis on the fact that despite the increase in CO2 solar radiation leaving earth vs entering earth did not change. Whether thats true or not...but it should definitely be looked into.

I like Fooglmog would like to hear some intelligent statements regarding the existence of AGW.
