Even as a Yankee I have to disagree that General Lee is a traitor or any kind. He simply valued State Rights over Federalization. He was actually Lincolns first pick to lead the Union Army, but Lee declined stating he couldn't raise a sword against his home state of Virgina. If that isn't loyalty, I don't know what is.

That's a goddamn commie lie and you know it. History revisionists try to justify the civil war by saying it was actually about State Rights vs Federal Rights, which is completely false. It was primarily about the institution of slavery. In a very simplistic nutshell, they were pissed that northern states refused to abide by the Slave Fugitive Act and when Lincoln got elected, despite his pledge to not interfere, they shat bricks.

Don't attempt to whitewash history and paint General Lee as some sort of States' Rights patriot. He was a fluffing traitor. What other country in the world flies the flags of the losing side?

Real Americans fly the Stars and Stripes, not the Stars and Bars.

While slavery was the landmark issue OF States' Rights at the time, it wasn't the entire (or even 'primary') story. The secessionist movement (States' Rights) goes back to the inception of the Republic. There was a lot of Federal tariffs taking a heavy toll on various states in the decades prior to the Civil War. Slavery, in a nutshell, was nothing more than the straw that broke the camels back as it was the last pillar of a eroded Southern economy built on agriculture.

This in fact...is bullfluff. Lincoln didn't give a fluff about freeing slaves he only cared about using them to fight for the Union army. As I told you re-re's already Lincoln didn't even start talking about freeing slaves until 1862. He gave the Confederacy an ultimatum end the war now or lose your slaves. The Confederacy kept fighting so he abolished slavery in Jan. of 1863 so he could legally enlist black soldiers into the military and if you actually follow anything about the Civil War you know these soldiers where basically used and "operation darky shield" for any south park watchers out there.

Not to mention it kept the French and English from supporting the south which they had planned to do.

And of course if you actually pay attention you know that Sherman let his troops rape civilian women and burn civilian homes. And it was known at the time that Sherman was mentally unstable yet your almighty savior Lincoln let him run around the south like a savage...murdering and raping innocent people.

The winner writes the history book...but that doesn't mean you have to be stupid enough to believe everything your told.
