anything that does harm is considered a harmful op

it allows you to buy/sell stuff on the public market with no commission charge. sounds like it would be beneficial.

It doesn't actually do any harm. You gain back your readiness simply by playing some turns.

It should not be considered a harmful op.

Just curious. ..... it doesn't harn someone to demo them. In fact they can continue on with life normally with no issues whatsoever. Although thr hit AFTER the demo i could see as being harmful

Demo enough and you can PS or SS that country with 50% less military power.
You can cut a break into half, thus it is harmful for the target.

It affects the target country in a negative way. How could you not consider it a harmful op?

The ops that are not harmful are the information gathering ones. Spy op, military spy, market spy, etc.

I know when someone is trying to outrun a retal I'm much nicer when the break is roughly 64% (demos+declare war) of what it was. Like intentional 79% on a L:L retal. Some even have a line like this in the retal policy "If you try to outrun retals, Paradigm reserves the right to take the necessary actions to recover our land within the 48 hour retal window." Think about that and I'll ask again.

What is the real harm of the op itself?

Back in the golden age of this game,We always counted demorilize ops prior to grabs as added misions for retals.
Never heard of anyone not enforcing that
