Thing I found really surprising at Rock in Rio is that Jagger has charm. Not something I had ever asociated with the Stones. He talked to the audience in Portuguese and got tuned in with them no problem. The Portuguee are just not head bangers, a bit restrained. But he worked them just right - lot of warmth.
