OMA diplomacy would have prevented this situation , blade buddy, teach him a lesson, then show him mercy.

While both parties have their blame in this, in defense of OMA they did talk to numerous RAGE contacts. To say they weren't diplomatic is kind of stretching the truth.

BladeEWG..you tell us that STONES was created to deal with those that grab with greed.

What you did to OMA falls under the "greed" category.

Your first land grab on them:

That is a 193% greedy topfeed attack

The Rage retal policy may not recognize topfeeds however Death Knights, Evolution, ICN, LAF, MD,Paradigm, Omega, Pinoy just to name a few Clans all have retal policies that recognize topfeeds, have definitions of what a topfeed is and retals topfeeds accordingly. They all retal topfeeds much more severely than normal landgrabs due to the greedy nature of that type of grab.

Actually Rage put a "note" attached to their topfeed policy. Even though they don't recognize topfeeds they reserve the right to retal according to the other alliance's retal policy should Rage ever be on the receiving end of such an attack.

Blades first attack on OMA was a retal, done within the retal window. Over the Hill, you forgot to post the hits that country did on Rage prior to it tagging up with OMA.

Blades second hit was done outside of the retal window, which i believe was probably a mistake on his part and not a purposeful LG/topfeed.

Also, I believe Rage has a 72 hour retal window, unless specified by some pact agreement. Contact our FA leader for clarification.

Things spun out of control after that.

#70 is upset with the way things transpired with his country and OMA countries, threatens to detag and suicide

24 hours later he detags, and shortly thereafter #44 joins him. Put on OMA boots for a second here. #70 and #44 both have misguided reason to be upset with OMA, #70 threatens to detag and suicide, #70 DOES detag and brings along #44.. then overnight their tag grows from 2 to 5.

OMA reacted. Its as simple as that. This is a war game. No reason for anyone to have a hair across their crack.

juice is right that the first hit by Blade in OTH's post was a perfectly legitimate retal which caused no trouble to anyone.

It was the second time he sought to retal that things started to go wrong. Rage's published retal policy specifies a two day window but even if it is taken to mean three days Blade made his hit out of time.

I thought at the time that as soon as the FAs could get together it would be sorted out and, in fact, at one point FDF and I thought it had been. But Blade is a bit of a maverick and has his own ideas. As I said, he is not someone who has a lot of time for pacts and FA stuff generally.

More power to him I say, Earth would be a boring place if we all stayed in line.

Anyway the time for all this is long passed.
