Saw this coming, yet everyone gave me a hard time for it... hrm

Knowing it was coming and getting 300 countries ready at this point in the set are entirely different. Many of the new members do not login to the site and do not really participate. #'s mean little. Not sure how people do not get that yet.

What IMP needed to do was go around bandaging old wounds... they were in no position to dictate anything to anyone and for the sake of survival needed to be humble.

They should have pacted anyone and everyone, especially some of the more risky alliances such as CC... they should of begged for a NAP from CC..

This would of allowed time for IMP to consolidate itself, sort the wheat from the chaff so far as it's members, develop a strong leadership and core membership that understand the dynamics and principles of EE and the FFA server.

Running head first into a war with CC was not the way to go about rebuilding the Alliance, especially considering the bad blood between the two tags.

Poor decisions and lack of strong leadership and future planning is only to blame for the unfortunate position that IMP find themselves it.

My plan was to try and get to 25k land so I would be big enough to outlast you guys when you converted from tech to farms. I didn't think you would hit still teching. I had my suspicions, but Patty was in charge and told me to stop obsessing over CC, and that in order for IMP to move forward and grow we have to forget about CC. We agreed to give it a try. I'm still shocked IMP didn't declare not long OOP. Had a big country # and NW advantage. I attribute to typical IMP ineptitude.

CC is incredibly soft OOP. The time to kill them obviously would have been early before tech, stock, and missiles - consistent opinions on the matter are unnecessary. They consistently run the same strats each round per player to the point where they can be singled out per string. The only challenge would be an IMP alliance that goes outside in the sun vs players who camp their countries via IRC and smartphone.

The decision was made by the IMP president to stick our heads in the sand and pretend CC would not declare war after the tech phase, even after I mentioned that there was a 100% chance of this happening. Clearly my message that CC will forever be obsessed with IMP did not sink in to the decision makers, even with history backing me up.

Thems the breaks I guess.

CCdidnt have a real war lst set, and woulda been itching to get into another fight since id say they are primarily a fighting alliance like NBK. and when i heard we had pacted CC but IMP didn't, i called it way early in the set that they were gonna get into a biff! it wasnt rocket science really.
