Despite the fact that everybody in the world has heard of them and half of them were born/lived within 5 miles of my house, I've just listened to my first led zep album!
It is the album called mothership which I gather is a kind of greatest hits. There are some cracking songs on there some I'd heard before but most of them I hadn't. Even though its not cool to like stairway to heaven its a brilliant song. I think Kashmir could be my favourite song on the album closely followed by holy houses and dazed and confused. Which album should I listen to next? I didn't really like the songs that had synthesizers in them and preferred the heavier songs

believe that would be Led Zeppelin IV, but for my 2 cents I'd say Achilles Last Stand or Immigrant Song for another specific song

In my opinion, Over the Hills and Far Away is by far the best Led Zeppelin song.

Led zep isn't really played on the radio in the uk so people only know a few songs, plus where I live led zep are just classed as a local band that went global, my dad used to hang about outside Rob plants house spotting famous people. My mates mother teaches plants son at school, I've spoken to him in a pub a few times. That's just the way it is around where I live

The first album was the best, imho.

I have a collector's edition release called Early Days and Later Days. It is four CD's of Led Zeppelin's greatest.

Kashmir is good, my all time favorite is still Trampled Under Foot.
