I was just talking with Havoc yesterday about the vast difference between your 40 good countries and your other countries, which I was guessing were abandoned.

Nobody wants to see ESD detag countries. :)

As long as its fair game to detag to win ANW, then its ok i guess.

If the ANW record holders of FFA (mercs) thinks its ok to detag to win ANW, then it must be legit to do so this set :)

I'd rather win ANW straight up and with all the chicks we bring to the dance, but I'll leave it up to you guys. :)

They detagged 28 of 68. That's 41% of their countries. If ESD did that, we'd be dropping 51 countries. I'll have to do the math on how much our ANW would go up.

28 of 68 (not 48). By the way didnt they have like 82 countries a week ago or so. If true it would mean 42 countries detagged.

You know, I don't know how many countries they had a week ago because their ANW was sooooo far under the radar that I didn't look too deep.

i mean, if you guys want to critique over detagging inactive countries, be my guest.
i'm pretty sure that we have yet to detag anybody who actively plays through the full reset, including when we claimed said record.

Inactive, as of not played each and every day of the set, means we probably could detag about 50 countries or more.

Inactive means not playing for weeks/months .. all clans have them

If we detagged the bottom 41% of our tag right now, our ANW would jump to $252 Million.

i honestly can't stop you from doing whatever you want with your tag. nor can you stop us doing what we will with ours.
my countries are at 700+ hours since the last turn. i guess maybe i should have detagged everything last week instead, but what the fluff difference is it, really.

I've always kind of considered us in PAN winning ANW if we were ahead of any clans with less than 60 countries. I figure 4 members running full countries is sort of the minimum to count for me.

Of course, it'll still say Rank 1 of .... for Mercs.

I also figure that Mercs can declare themselves the winner of the small tags (less than 60).

Now that TKO isn't 100 countries bigger than us though, we're setting out sights on TNW. ;)

Tin Man: Bigger you get, the harder it is to keep everyone active. There's a reason it's tough to take all 3 categories in the triple crown.

There's also the fact that NBK usually has a lot of countries. :P

3 are still playing, 16, 16, 8

2 of the countries in our tag are restarts, at least half a dozen were suicided

and im not certain but i wouldnt be surprised if one of the active players didnt play for a while


its been done early enough that we dont know whether it will affect anw/tnw when we did it

in the detagging thread i wanted to make clear that if we detagged additional countries it was because they were inactive and not involved in the imp/cc conflict

as long as Mercs don't beat my ANW I will still be happy and know that next set we're going to improve a lot more(we're all n00bs) I don't think Mercs are going to get much higher ANW ever then this set.

i didnt really check how bad pan and esd were hit by suiciders but i feel it hurt us a lot

plenty of mistakes to go around, for instance i went expenses on techers without thinking which only works in alliance, maybe primary

We weren't hit nearly as bad this set as we were last, but we do have 2-3 players that were pretty much just running killers this set, so most of them aren't jumping much. One of them said he got up to 30M average, iirc.

Tin Man: With Mercs, it's really all about whether they can keep all their guys motivated to play a full set. Sometimes dealing with suiciders is a war of attrition. If you have some enemies and they know they can dissuade you by ruining one set, they'll definitely do it. If you keep succeeding set after set, some of those suiciders go away (not all, see TKO's issues with suiciders the last several sets).

ESD's had the benefit of being relatively small and having no one that has really attracted negative attention to the clan, especially since Dragon's been put on a leash over there with his drunken posts. :P

PAN and TKO get hit because we're big. Mercs got hit because people thought (and presumably still do think) that Rockman is an arrogant ass and they want to mess with him and his clan. ESD neither has any real enemies nor are they so big that suiciders target them as much. At least as far as I can tell, I'm sure if I'm wrong, someone from ESD can correct me and say how much they've been attacked by suiciders.

And yea I saw mercs got suicided hard this set, I think you guys gave us some relief at PAN :P

mercs got killed because of forum trash talk one set but the suiciding this set seems more like just griefing for the sake of griefing

like trolling on the boards but in game

reloadedntx basically claimed responsability but i was never sure if it was just one person

one of the suiciders im not sure if it was him also claimed on ffat to have 150 countries this set which is kind of silly

we had a problem with people going afk with cash on hand and no d, that made it much worse than it needed to be

became a case of no d was enough because we were providing free stock

plus most of us didnt care enough to stonewall while netgaining, i lost 2 countries

and i burnt a curry i was cooking when i did wall so not walling is much better, had to start again from scratch, go buy more onions and so on

I will NOT be detagging my fluffty ass Demo that's gonna be lucky to hit 20mil NW.

Live and learn folks, we have been active all set so there's no reason to fluff if they beat us as long as they only detagged inactives. Also they got hti hard by suiciders so there is no reason for us to lose.

We WILL beat them on our own terms, not theirs

And Pangaea made this game possible for us to get in a tizzy over a text based alternate life that for some godforsaken reason we are STILL playing and loving it two decades later.

ESD had hardly any suiciders due to a lot of factors, least of all being size IMO(I mean, Mufasa was our biggest threat). When I see people with 100k+ acres DR'ing themselves I think that's almost like an invite in a lot of suicider's minds.(not talking about Mercs, unless that's something you allowed)

Mercs got hit hard by suiciders but I don't think that gives you any more of a reason to detag countries this late in the set, if they have been active until you detagged them they should have still had a good stock, and if they have been inactive for so long they should have deleted their countries and/or had Mercs farm the piss out of them when they threw in the towel to help out the clan as a whole still.

And I don't know HOW the hell I made it as far into the set without getting suicided on(or even grabbed ONCE) for having a ridiculously fat ass country with little to no defense and no SDI for over half the set.
