just curious on how other alliances handle this.

lets say a country in clan A hits a country in clan B, clan B retals within the 48 hr window, normal stuff. My question is once the retal is done can clan A take another hit on the same country in clan B less then 48 hrs from the first attack?

someone hits me and 6 hrs later i retal, can that clan hit me again 12 hrs after that or is it like a RoR. That would be 2 hits in 24 hrs with my retal in the middle.

Depending on your Retal Policy, some alliances will consider that to be an RoR

It's often considered a RoR, but historically that tactic was used as a way to bully alliances around and try to farm them. It was one of IX's favorites as an example.

To answer your initial question:

Retal on Retal defined as an attack on any Death Knights country within 48 hours of receiving a retal from a Death Knights country.
250% L:L before ghost acres (Escalating 50% per additional hit) No exceptions unless we have a pact that states otherwise. We reserve 72 hours to claim all land.

Well we are imag so our policy is we do what we want regardless of what everyone else is, but sometimes it is nice when the server also thinks like us.

Yeah that's an RoR. I've seen 24hr policies and 48hr policies, but as far as I know every retal policy I've seen would consider a hit within 12 hours of a retal to be a RoR.

I would say it is a ROR most people have either 24 hours or 48 hours listed for window where that country can't be hit. It is also 2 hits within 24 hr period which most people don't accept either.

It would depend on wether the original defending country did the retal.

Clan A hits country 1 (Orig. Def)
OD then retals
Clan A hits country 1
---- it now looks / becomes an RoR


Clan A hits country 1
Clan B country (not OD) hits Clan A
Clan A hits country 1 again
--- looks bad, but can be discussed

it would also depend if the country hit was RD- then they wo0uld retal your whole clan for sets to come for any hits on them.

we have a posted retal policy

and there is no big issue here. just wondering where some people would draw their line.

*shrug* Our policy is pretty reasonabl up to that point. Hypothetical Clan A probably looking for a fight anyway with us if they keep hitting us after we retal them.
