Read what I wrote carefully. I'm not saying that all 80s/90s music is crap. I'm just saying that there was plenty of crappy music back then along with the good stuff just like there is now. Sadly less of the good music now airs on the radio.

I am saying that most 1950s music sounds the same.. and it's rather scary:P

I've seen motley crew live in Toronto the last time they were here.. they were awsome live.

I like Van Halen but have never seen them live.

Dream theatre and disturbed were really good live as was soundgarden. Actually soundgarden *really* surprised me as their live performance outstripped anything I've ever heard of theirs recorded.

New music has a lot more complexity and talent I must say....dream theater (freaking Canadians and their theatre) being a prime example. Protest the Hero is also pretty amazing.

But you can't beat the ideals of classic rock or the real "rock n roll". At the time it was revolutionary......not to mention there wasn't 3 million bands out there during that time polluting every genre.
