The fact that I have to be paid to be at my job doesn't detract from me loving it. The reality is that I like to partake in various activities that require money and hence I have to get money somehow (and pimpin ain't easy).
If money were no concern would I do my job for free? maybe. The thing is that I like other activities (and people) more than I like my job. My time is finite and hence getting the most out of life becomes an optimization exercise:)
Life/Work Balance.
The problem I have is that because I receive part of the profits of the company, the more work I do...the more I get paid.
I'd rather work hard now, take my two-three weeks of vacation a year, and retire before I am 40. Sacrifice time now to enjoy life later.
