I played on a e2025 clone that had a server like that but the country who got the kill shot gained all remaining assets of the killed country.

I will say from experience it is a fun type of game to play.

I was under the premise that it was intended to be a clan based server, where every clan can only have 5 tagged members for the duration of the set.

Even in its infancy the server had several 5 man tags that were essentially 1 huge tag.

TSO Era comes to mind.

The server in its current state might be close to the way its suppose to function due to the decrease in created countries. Tags do act more independently.

For team server to run as an actual 5 man tag server where all tags run independently there must be some changes.

Like countries once killed can't restart during the remaining duration of the set or bring back original restarting to make 5 man warfare more realistic. Not that everyone wants to war.

I really don't have any "good" examples outside of what I just posted.

There use to be a "spirt of the server" where others posted what they thought team should be but that post seems to be gone.

I would think using bonus points on turns, as a teacher being a fairly decent advantage.

I would like to see bonuses beefed up a bit or have a new system.

I am not educated enough to elaborate on the rest of the bonuses. None of them seem to be overly beneficial to me. Not in comparison to extra turns.

I know I have tried to utilize building costs in FFA and it still seems building fat land takes incredible income.

I have tried to utilize military upkeep as a CI and continue to see extreme red income.

I also used Luck my fair share of times. In a missile race I lost to another teacher who didn't use a single turn in luck. Still get undesirable Explores returns early-mid game and Spies still could fail on a cake target.

So possible my personal opinions are bias.

Let's hope some more educated people show up and give their input.

I have never done a transfer or talked with anyone who has done a successful one. I know it has been done and all. However 7000 tech at turn 310 is not. Neither is 6999,6888,6777 or what have you. No other strategy can match that.

Let's take this FFA round as a prime example. Currently tech has been $4-$5k, food $60-$70, yet Agricultural tech volume is 80% less than business and residential techs combined... These are ruff figures.

Maybe just lowering private market selling prices would be a quicker fix. If the goal is to make people use the market and run proper strategies instead of self sustaining countries then that may be the true underlying issue.

My claim is in regards to markets that have unlimited profits in tech despite volume. Especially when 90% of food stock is dumped at $35-$36.

Then again maybe my interpretation is off, looking forward to more feed back.

After talking with a few people I consider to be well educated with the functions of the game I offer this slight suggestion.

A quick fix to help nerf the tech strategy and stabilize the market.

To my knowledge all goods have a max selling point, excluding tech which can be sold for $9999 a point.

I could be wrong though, maybe oil and food can also be placed so high. I don't see these goods being sold this high to yield profit over just plain stocking however, unlike tech being sold at such a high rate.


My question to the rest of the community/administration,

Would capping tech sales at 4-6k be a reasonable solution to help nerf the researching strategy and stabilize the market?

On topic I think that transfers are already easy enough and dont need to be made easier simply because I dont want the game to incentivise transfers for netting purposes(only in FFA). If anything remove food from FA so that people are forced to learn to play on their own. FA can still be used to help get ppl in humanitarians range or so on with sending just military and cash though stock is usually in bushels and oil, and a combination thereof is directly convertible to NW at a few clicks.
Further FAing oil will make walling even more overpowered which I think will be horrible for the game.


That was sarcasm regarding medical tech. I was just saying oil tech would be just as useful as medical depending on circumstance.

I would rather see oil tech over oil FA.

I'll get to work on an idea to balance oil strategy more. better.

Bio only kills your population as you use turns while your population is poisoned.

All the Chemical Missiles killed your population, not the Bio Terrorism.

In complete honesty who ever is assaulting you with spies, they are doing a horrible job.

Those are weak bomb structure returns.... They could have been extremely more menacing.

Also I wouldn't call this over powered. Build more spies, get some spy tech or drop some land and see your enemies success rate plummet!
