This retal policy we have at M4D was the alliance standard retal policy for over a decade, and tags that tried to enforce differences from it (land:land for example) frequently warred. I made no bones about playing this way in Express last set either, literally the exact same philosophy. It's what this game functions best as - a true everyone vs everyone environment.

NA and PDM were besties for a long time. When we were getting gangbanged by SOL's coalition repeatedly, PDM were basically our only allies. So literally everyone in M4D goes way back with PDM.

Anyway, I will be ready for suiciders. That's been my job more sets than not in 1a, kill teams and retal teams. I don't like to stock and jump most sets so I get to deal with the JW&Cos of the world. I've only gotten t10 a few times and it's been ages.

I mean, technically I am former LaF, but you are going back over 20 years for that. I am in M4D because Llaar emailed me out of the blue for a reunion set, and I said "sounds fun." I am also former DWA, SOF, EliteZ, RED, NA, SOL, and probably some smaller ones I forgot.

Any affiliation we have with JW&Co is certainly news to me.

Also, I live on the East Coast of the US, and last time I played team I was with weedylar, 2nd place the last set I netted, so not dark or light on team either.

FWIW our Discord has tons of people telling basically the same story as me. "Hey, we're back? Cool, I'll come back for the squad." NA was great fun and it's nice seeing a lot of the old crew.

I disagree that changes are bad. Look at something like Diablo. D3 still had a thriving community across multiple platforms as recently as...whenever Hades came out and I switched to that. The reason is the "seasons" architecture where every reset the meta changes because of tweaks, and occasional complete re-works.

Again, nobody deserves what you are describing and, having spent time on the internet I don't really doubt it, but your "proof" here is not even weak evidence.

How it always used to be, is that you can coordinate strictly with your actual ingame allies, using strictly ingame communications. I am recently returned after some years of inactivity though so perhaps the guidelines are different.

The decades of drama you missed out on included many ginned up accusations presented with convincing "evidence" against the alleged perps that turned out to be false, as well as the opposite situation of actual cheaters being really good at faking up evidence that they are clean. With that background, all public evidence is automatically mistrusted in the greater community.

Additionally, almost everyone who's been around for a while has been at the very least a technical rulebreaker. For example, I've never run actual multis in the same server benefitting each other directly. I have, though, had countries in several different "random games" (these don't exist anymore) as well as more than one tourney rung at the same time.

My personal violations are long ago, and most agree they aren't breaking the spirit of the rules. Some vehemently disagree, as my countries were playing in the same public markets.

Regardless, everyone moved on because it was all in the past and we all grow and move on.

If we just ejected everyone who ever "cheated" at this game, we would have thrown out the whole community 15 years ago. Therefore, forgiveness and moving on has always been part of the culture here as well. Uh, the broader culture, not AT, which continues to be a rampant cesspit of inflammatory rhetoric and hyperbole (and I wouldn't change it!).

I have no specific knowledge of any events in the last year before about 2 weeks ago, so if you are correct in describing the events as you have, yeah that sounds fluffty and yeah, families should always be out of bounds without anyone having to say it. I am just trying to provide a little perspective on coming here and screaming "cheater" at someone, and why the response might not be what you expect.

Always was that indies dominated early and had to stat ahead with grabbing to compete late. Doesn’t seem like that’s how things are these days. I don’t see indy startup strats, everyone is talking about how techers start fast, and there certainly havent been any indies front running in Express.

O hey, my tech sold! :)

Thinking this to be the case, I diversified a bit, did some ag and some weap since it was selling high. My casher techs and indy tech keep getting stuck.

Obviously I did not witness what happened in the markets but that makes sense; the game has always been more about playing the market correctly than your turns anyway.


Hard disagree on tourney, I can't sell fluff there. I am trying to convert from indy to tech and my units and tech both keep getting stuck.
