Noticed last set that there was a contender for FFA TNW (In all time leadership boards) with 92B.
After this set this account managed to get 12B net, but there is no such string to be found in last sets Top 100 (after removing the linked accounts).

Then I saw that the Untagged managed to get approx 12B networth (https://www.eestats.com/ffa/oldtags/1353), so I guess for some reason the bots as a whole have been given one single account (so basically competing in the leadership boards :) )

You won rank 1 for countries, but didnt come close to winning anything as a clan.
Its a good start though and if you continue to build on it you might get there in the near future.

Pretty much impossible to get rid of self-farm, Land-trade and Bots as long as the activity is as low as it is now and has been for the last 10 years. Back then you could farm untaggeds without getting retalled (or you killed them if they did retal you), which is more or less the same as attacking the bots nowadays.

btw, the tech prices were fcking mad for the first 4 weeks or so this set (now low) until the IMP/CC war ended and the IMps started flooding the tech market. Back in the day the tech prices were hovering around 3-4k after just 1-2 weeks, while this set it was around 6500+

As you say, any noob can make a 5B country nowadays (especially with help from others), so what about you go for 10B next set instead :)

Fair enough, everyone is free doing what they think is best :)

The family reason might sound a bit hollow though to the public eye, especially as you admitted that it was the money that eventually made you take the decision to switch tag. I think it would have looked better if you switched immediately after the CC war ended instead.

For me personally, I wouldnt have done it. I think it leaves to much baggage (the kind that sticks) jumping ship a few days before a set ends. Gives you character to stay true to the word you give when you join a clan. to stay with them for the upcoming set (while getting their protection while doing so).

I bet the main reason for helping out was that they knew you were going to tag Imp this set, which would automatically give them a possible rank 1 in the process :)

If you join a tag you should stay committed to it until end of set (at least). I get it that you love IMP more, but dont see any reason why you couldnt have joined them next set instead (and honored the protection TKO gave you this set). Leaving TKO 4-5 days before end of set is mainly a slap in the face to TKO in my eyes. Anyway, what Vern did wasnt very nice either though.

Before the was bots were available most of us did it (in ESD). When I got back to Earth after a few years we had the rule to not do it, which we kept for a year or so until we saw how everyone else benefited from doing it.

Its not very difficult, but you have to keep a record (e.g. notepad) on the strikes you do between each country, so one country do not hit the other more than 3-4 times.

for example country 1-4:
Day 1
1 and 4 exchange hits until they hit eachother 4 times while 2 and 3 do the same
Day2
1 and 3 exchange hits, while 2 and 4 do the same
Day 3
1 and 2 exchange hits, while 3 and 4 do the same

Then you do the same with the other 12 (during the same time period) so Day 4 you can continue with 1 and 5 hit eachother and so on.

Same principles. I only did a few sets in Alliance (in a very small clan) in the past 2 years as favor to a former ICD member, but managed to get a decent top 20 in each attempt, even with low acreage and minimal effort. Of course, its harder to get acres and keep them in Alliance (Especially if you belong to one of the small clans where you cannot afford going 0 defense which you most likely can while in LaF). Anyway, Ivan please play 1 country or something and teach us your mad skills :)

Thanks for the Kind words :)

Good to know my work is appreciated, but there is still a lot to learn in this game. For example putting up those huge NW countries that Max (a great netter btw) have been putting up. So one goal for me (in the future) would be to do the same, but hopefully maintaining Hign NW across all 16 in the process. I guess as long as UF is controlling the tech market it will be difficult to achieve that though ;)

Well, I never use landfarms or getting any other people involved (i.e. no help from buyouts by team members) etc, so it would be out of the question for me. If only the sets were 4-5 days longer I would probably have reached 16B by now :)

I do agree with you Marshal (as I said earlier):

Some things to be required to reaching it:
1. Easy Grabs (500-1000 acre per hit)
2. Low tech Prices (within 2-3 weeks and for remainder of set)
3. Low Bushel price for a long period of time.

Anyway, for that to happen it would require a miracle :)

Might be difficult to achieve, but not impossible. Closest I got so far was around 13 billion in TNW, approx 812m ANW, which is way off that target :)

Must be a perfect set to get 16B, low tech prices, easy land etc

It is possible to play this game solo, just look at the FFA history (http://www.earthempires.com/ffa/41/clans?ranktype=tnw) to see my solo tag, DROLREVO, a few sets ago :)

That kind of success is a rare thing, being solo, but nevertheless it is possible
