Yes but if everyone is dealing with the same market I don't see what interest we have with a stable market vs an unstable one. Sure oil got out of control but it didn't determine the course of the war.

Can we focus on the market and not the so called toxic fluff since there are enough threads about it.

I dont see / never thought about how a stable market helps sof more than an unstable one (ESP if we need more netters to make it happen). Player pool seems to small and the orders / history just calls out for market manipulation.

Why would a stable market be better for us ?

Figuring out who the restart that went AWOL was was just effort, I enjoyed it but would not want to do it twice a day everyday for a war. I don't actually like all the stuff we have but this whole thing is an arms race, obviously if someone makes a restart tracking thingy everyone will use it, however that is different than getting instant news outside of the game.

Good point. Too much of the 'advancements' in this game have been about speeding stuff up and making people spend less time. To some degree it is understandable but I think changing the attack prompt is a good idea. Still I dunno if most would agree.....

sinistril, I agree and also think most people on AT agree but have the developers thought about sending out a questionnaire to everyone at the end of the set rather than basing changes on us loudmouths?

Um I like getting in a chat room and trying to coordinate to kill countries, and killing countries. Also spying countries and looking for weaknesses, LaF runs some tight countries......

Trying to get a higher SPAL. Trying to figure out why the other side does what they do. Trying to improve. Coming to AT and talking fluff.

Getting a kill, doesn't matter if its one of Xyles under 10 seconds that LaF love to mock or its an offline target.

And the tactics vs strategy / short term vs long term.

They okayed eestats.com (granted I don't know how eestats gets the info but the developers have to be okay with it as with the mIRC news channel), orders for goods and tech, bots, restart bonuses (thats just a sore point for everyone besides Xyle at this point I think....) etc.

How the heck should I know what the developers approve or disprove? Seems to me the move is in the direction of anything that speeds up the game and requires less interaction....

I was told laf uses a walling script where they hit a button and a script logs in and walls automatically for them. I was also told the game developers okayed this and it was allowed and well known.

Since laf says this is not the case i take your word for it and i am sorry for the accusation.

Well I'm beat. Seems like it could have been Have Derelict (#243) or Not again (#726) but pretty unlikely..... (switching to farmer...) I don't think it could have been anyone else in LaF.

I don't have access to SoL spy opts... That's the best I can do. I'm reasonably sure that it isnt Stones / Mercs / Imag / SoF but not entirely since I aint done this before....
