^agreed. As I pointed out, police strongholds typically represent an extremely union friendly democratic city with higher tax revenues. Conservatives on a local level tend to push for less taxes and defunding kinda everything equally in my experience. I don't think the proportion of tax dollars that goes to police changes much tho unless people push to redistribute it to other programs, but yes. The largest police cities are almost always democrat run.

But also our president is calling for the protestors to get dominated by vicious dogs and ominous weapons, which I dont think any rational human trying to avoid riots would do. I honestly dont think of it as a right left issue. I think of it as a poor people vs everyone issue. Neither party is attempting to dump large portions of their budgets to helping the communities. Lol
