Ok I've been noticing this for sets on end and I finally come to a deep suspicion that it has to be a bug, when I do a conventional spy op I fail 9 out of 10x if I only do 1 despite the opponents spal, now, if I select to do 3 then the first one 9 out of 10x gets through...is this a bug or just a coincidence?

I always do in multiple of 3s for the exact same reason. Honestly I think it multiplys your chance of succeeding upto a maximum of 5

I haven't looked at the code for a long time, but basically the way it works is that each spyop is treated individually.

Why do Bots build up immunity after many spy ops on them, even tho your countries SPAL is much higher that of the Bot ?

I don't recall it exactly but once you hit 25-30 then you start bouncing more and more til 0 get through.

If someone knows the email I used for my original ee account "Legion" or can get me the msg files from it then I can post what the OG Earth 2025 DR formulas for both active and passive ops.. on the off chance nothing was changed..

I mean these folks cry about the game but can't even forum correctly.

Is that the intention or the result? I think you might want to recheck your code if it is the intention

This is not a real effect is my guess. First off I have not experienced it and secondly my trials on alphaFFA found no statistically significant difference for this.

Its very easy to fool oneself with stochastic effects.

I see it happen consistently in Primary and something I've noticed since I came back, could be coincidence but I'd figure it wouldn't hurt to post about it and see if anyone else experienced this ;-)

I did my tests a year back or so, so if its a new phenomena I cant be sure. Tho pang says he has not touched the code in years.

Well I can't remember if there were 2-4 different categories..

I know there was a separate deal for Active/Harmful Ops. I can't recall how the 4 'Normals' were split.. 1/3, 2/2, or as a single Passive group.

Legion afaik there are only two categories of ops. One that does not give spy DR and is not affected by spy DR and another type that gives spy DR and is affected. This could be wrong tho as I have only looked at a few of the ops.

The effect is gradual and creeps up slowly. I think it starts before the 20th or 30th op.

To help with this, I added a premium feature that will tell you the likelihood of an op succeeding on a target on.

It provides a 5% range for likelihood of success with a little bit of extra fuzziness mixed in because spyops are sort of magical.

Yeah, it doesn't work quite right... I am over 100% no matter which country I target which is impossible, and I still fail several of them.

Also, if it did work, would that mean I can get a free estimate of anyone's SPAL?

Hmm if this worked well I am not sure its a great feature. Maybe have it as info after doing a spy op instead? Or make a new op "Spy on intelligence network" That gives this information. Because if this worked I could without spending turns get an estimate of everyone SPAL in the game, which weakens the intelligence gaining/protecting aspect of having spies.

I think its great if its an added info resulting from a spy op tho. :)
