Modern forums auto lock an old post after X amount of days. I would suggest two months after the last post since that is how long the longest sets are. A post doesnt need to stay open forever.

Modern forums also limit the number of posts in X amount of time to slow down a spammer. Make it so the time rises with every post made within 2 mins or something... and then have it go back to normal after X amount of time passes. A user doesnt need to make 50 posts in 10 seconds.

yes forums are more modern than mehul's or joltomac's but not as modern as better forums are.

I agree with you on the time limit idea. But also know that current discussions exist on this topic. New tools to help mods are already being put into place. Some need more time.

it would be great if the search options were updated including the ability to sort threads by the date started rather than the date ended. For example it would be much easier to send the interested back in time to read of primeval's role in the demise of LaE if all the threads were right there for them to read in an hour rather than having to search for hours because of the varying end dates.

also i insulted marshal one time and it was clever and i would like to find it, so if you could make the forums to help with this that would be great. also i don't remember what name i might have used. maybe a search filter of insult marshal?

if you'd get 1 month ban from any insult you wouldn't have any handles usable.
