It's a pretty fun game, I've been following it since it was announced (I played their other game Ingress when it was new).

It's a really fun and innovative style of game regardless of whether you're into the whole pokemon universe. The servers are wildly unstable which makes playing it frustrating.

There's some bad APKs out there that install fluff on your phone. I always check the checksum to make sure it's legit when I get them outside of the Play store.

bad apks are used cause it has't been released everywhere yet and that won't happen soon since servers are quite overloaded atm. dumb ppls can't wait official release.

that app doesn't require as much access as fordy says, it was "bug" in ios version that required full access users google accounts.

1 player found body while searching pokemon and some players have got robbed.

atm its installed to more android phones than tinder.

It had more active users last weekend than Twitter, insane. I've been playing pretty regularly, and my work is a gym which is cool. Gives me a reason to get more exercise and something to do while exercising. Passed a cute girl who was running on my road while I was driving home from work tonight and she totally stopped on the side with her phone out at a place where I caught a pokemon before... sounds like a potential good pickup line/icebreaker.

I have played it the last couple days. Several locations around here are full of stuff. But I can see how people playing and driving, and causing an accident, is going to be in the news quite often.

It does not work here at the South Pole :( It uses Google Maps and there is a singularity at the pole which causes you to fly hundreds of miles ingame taking a step in any direction.
