Surprised i got the win considering i sold all my bushels at or below 35. Poisoned wafer(clint?) also tried hard to wreck me with a big grab and a late ROR.

Fun set. I started techer then switched to farmer. It wasn't a great set for farmer but I scratched out a top ten. Nice to see some different folks in top 10. Congrats all.

While I have had more networth in past sets, that was the best chance I have had for my first win since I'm not a $30m country player. I couldn't get the land I needed and didn't sell in the last hour. Surprised I finished as high as I did.

I saw the failed spy op, I just figured you found a better target. I might have been a little upset if it cost me the win, but it obviously wouldn't have.

Next set i'll be doing something different, so I'm open to the challenge.

Clint I think I do better with fascist or tyranny farmers in express. Dict farmer is OK. Is that what you were? I never even spied you.

I got called into work for emergency and knew I wouldn't get chance to finish so wessex who decided to break gdi on me had his finish ruined as well :)

LOL RIGHT those acres wouldn't of made a 5m difference for "you" you don't play a proper techer on any server.

Im kinda new...so i probobly make alot of mistakes...
and i didnt say it in a bad way...lg is part of the game
this 2000 acres is about 500 reaserch points per turn
which could have bring me close or win....

Only if you had about 850 turns unplayed.

It might not have been enough for the win, but it would have made it closer for sure. Nothing wrong with only being 4.3m away from the win!
It was definitely a good set to be techer, a lot of the regulars didn't play, or didn't play fully.

One thing of note, there seems to be a lot more late set grabbing these days. I've started running with a bunch more defense instead of worrying about expenses. It's stupid, because 90% of these people go jetter and can't hit a finish better than 30th.

Probobly not enough...when i went to sleep 5 minutes to the end the gap was 700k and i was third...probobly missed the real gap

Well ipardess if you really tried as a techer during that set a 30m+ finish would of been possible around 16k

16K land? That what i had before your grab(which is ok...dont take it the wrong way)
But as you said...the gap was too large

It's all about turn and startup efficiency. The sooner you get to your land goal the better.
I'd agree though, with the prices I saw 30m+ would be obtainable with 16k land (assuming you got there in time).

I hit my land goal of 16k awhile back with good (but not as good as last set prices) and managed 28.9m.
I can assure you i'm not the greatest techer, ebert probably could have hit 35m+
