Was pretty funny tho listening to all the people complaining on the way out of the theater.
Wasn't our first choice but the only seats available for Reverant were in the first row.
As painful as that may have been, it couldn't have been worse than sitting thru HAIL CEASAR.
Made a bad decision 😟

I hope you had already seen every other offering. The Revenant was pretty good. Havnt seen Deadpool yet, but i dont go on opening weekend.

Deadpool was awesome. First movie I've seen on an opening weekend in a long time.

What's it cost to go to a movie these days for two people ? I only ask because I live 70 miles from a theater, so we haven't been to a first run movie in 2 years ..lol

There are a couple theaters around me that will have a $6 special at one time or another, but if you want to go see something in IMAX 3D, them fluffs will run damn near $20 each. There is also a theater that screens older movies, ones that just dropped out of the main theaters, for $2.

Then you gotta add on them eats. $$$$

There are more and more theaters around here that are going 21+ and serving beer and food too. I like this.

Some jobs sell discounted tickets, and Im sure other companies sell discounted tickets through there rewards programs. They usually cost about 9.50

I agree that the Revenant was good. Not the best movie ever (imo), but not a bad way to spend a few hours.

Deadpool was amazing, especially if you are a fan of the source material. With that said, my parents went to it blindly, expecting a normal marvel action movie, and were unpleasantly surprised.

I don't go to the movies much, but have seen Jurassic World, Everest, and Star Wars in IMAX 3D, the first two on opening weekend. They were even giving away free fluff!! lol

As much as I wanted to see it right away, I waited for two weeks before attempting to see Star Wars.

Any of you have Movie Taverns in your area? They have food and drinks served to you during the movie. I got gift cards for Christmas but haven't gone yet. The movies above I wanted to see in the IMAX and they are just a regular movie theater (besides the foods).

ford you still in NC? haven't payed attention to where you live these days but in raleigh and cary couple of the theaters run 5$ tuesdays... 5 for tickets and then 5 for a med drink and small popcorn....i know parkwest 14 and crossroads imax's run 8$ on tuesdays as part of the deal to....i normally go to a noon showing on tuesday while the kiddies are in school

Damb you guys think you have it bad? Meanwhile in AUS $19 for normal movie ticket and if you want to see it in gold class where they serve food and drink? $30 a ticket. Large frozen coke $6, large popcorn is $7-$9. You'll easily spend $30pp.

Gold class with 2 tickets, food and a drink will set you back $100...

Better not pick a fluff movie, cause the food ain't that great...

here 3 litres of popcorn (~0.6 us gallons) and 2x0.5 litres coke (~0.2 us gallons) costs 9.4 euros and 5.5 litres (~1.5 us gallon) of popcorn and 0.8 litres (~0.21 us gallons) of coke costs 7.4 euros so guy's + girlfriend's movienight/day would cost ~35+ euros (~39+ usd).
