I have joined gdi and then used the bonus to get free perma gdi but i have alliance/gdi costs of 1.6m showing and i also have no allies?

Right now in this set alone i will lose out on ending nw to the tune of 6m nw.

I effectively have a free gdi cost of about $ 13 per acre.

There's a bug similar to this one with the spy expenses. My guess is that they're both closely related.

Dec war is on.... since when has that cost me 10 bucks an acre lol... but my exact cost is 13 an acre and free perma gdi is most certainly on.

Declaring War Attacks can be made at any time without any formal declaration of war. However, oftentimes you may find that you cannot attack another country because they are protected by GDI. By Declaring War on a country, you automatically can attack them without regard for GDI. Additionally, you gain a +10% bonus against any country you declare war with. However, they will also be able to attack you without regard for GDI, you can only make peace after 48 hours, and War costs $10/acre for each turn you are at war (included in Alliance Expenses). You may only be at war with one player at a time.

I *think* it sometimes shows the cost of gdi versus actually deducting it from your monies.

Did you run the math to see if it actually was deducted?
