as i'm only running one country i have no idea what's up with the market - but as long as there will be open market feeds there will be people who watch it and cash in on trends, add that with the fact that it's a public market and anyone can sell/buy what they want when and where they want per laws of supply, demand, and friends cash piles - means sometimes, skill is involved in market manipulation to work to your favor.

using the market to move money is a gamble, simply that. luck has just as much to do with it as skill. everyone knows oil, food, and the thin tech market this time of set like weapons, spy, medical etc are vesicles to move cash.

getting blocked is a way to keep it in check.

in old game i used to say that xmas eve/day is perfect time to fs some other alliance since its members are busy doing other things, of course that was before smartphones and tablets which enable players to play countries w/o use of computer.
