There is a luck element in the fact that all those targets you break gdi with never fight back. Most of these are good selection where you stay out of range but there are still plenty that could fight back but choose to roll over and take the hits.
I make a point of not letting someone win easily if they have gotten greedy hitting me but apparently im the minority. The only retal i didnt take this set was on Serp and i did it because i wanted him to have a shot at beating h2o.

Every talented player has quit Primary and Serp still can't win? LMFAO! now im nothing and MaxG both won. And just as soon as h2o retires because there's no competition, Mysidia takes 1st.

we'll see about that. im not playing this set. Mysidia lacks the grabbing power.

Crest, my problem is only my laziness. I refuse to sit down and plan and do all the calculating. The furthest I go is calculating a break. I still only play from my cell. Just play as I go with very limited planning and that's ok for me. It's also why I stopped playing alliance. Didn't want to deal with camping targets and making warchats etc...

I prefer easy going laid back play that I can just enjoy playing. There's no way I'm putting effort into anything else.

Eh eh, understandable. But that is what probably did cost you first place. Maintaining those turrets those 5 days rather than selling them and reinvesting the money, I mean.

For future reference, I had worked out an idea that even with 100m turrets or more would have still broken anybody and that will use in future as needed, but then decided that wasn't worth the cost as I already had the largest retal and it was very late in the set.
