The objective is to find the cheapest unit & it does that.

On a side note --
@bstrong: Not all of wiki's formulas are correct.

Construction Cost 3 * Land + 1500 3*(max(1,land-750)^1.03)+1500 is incorrect.

Per Capita Income (PCI) 22.5 * (1 - Taxrate) * (1 + ((Networth/Land)/90000)) * (1 + (2 * (Ent/Land))) * BusTech * GvtPCIBonus is incorrect.

((Troops * .11) + (Jets * .14) + (Turrets * .18) + (Tanks * .57) + Spies) * MilTech% * (1 + Networth/40000000) * GvtBonus * MilBaseFactor is incorrect.

it is a worse way. your numbers can not be entered into any other calculations. you are trying to get people to memorize numbers that have no other use. they are arbitrary and worthless. that is not a debatable point.

I'm not looking for other calculations. I pointed out a method that works 100% of the time of how to look at the market and decide which unit to buy. You can divide by .5 .6 .6 2 or multiply by 6 5 5 1.5. Either one works.

And to be honest-- the method you're explaining is not more accurate. Because it's not hardcoded .5 .6 .6 and 2. EE uses a php command called FLOOR() which rounds down the number after the math operation. So you're actually going to be off some.

11 turrets give how much NW? It's not exactly 11/0.6 It's Floor(11/0.6)

the exact same NW your ratio gets. mine is just a base instead of a multiple, therefore you can plug it into more formulas with less steps.

My guess is EEstats uses Math.round(turret / 0.6) similiar to Floor(turrets / 0.6)

One is a javascript function the other uses a php function. I'm not sure which part of EEstats you're talking about, but I can post it's math function up here if you show me where.

My method requires no additional steps as the method you're detailing.

Yes, your method may be used in other calcuations (but it's still not 100% accurate). The method I explained is specifically for deciding which units to buy from the market. That is what the discussion was about.

Better / Worse is relative to the person who finds whichever method easier (be that dividing or multiplying a number).

The method you use as landfarm is actually a solid way to net. I've argue that Qzjul should use the same method with the bots to no avail.

By identfying yourself as landfarm-- you get LG'd early on by multiple players making you go deep into DR, thus making buying defense irrelevant. 0 defense is a huge benefit in terms of expenses.
