i did last night. worked fine, and it isnt that different. I havnt poked through it too much though.

No rush, with almost a year to make that upgrade it would make sense to not upgrade now and instead wait to see how it all works out. Dont have any issues myself with Win. 7 so will stick with that for a few months at least.

I'm guessing it's pretty much the same as all the rest. If you look back at every release. Every windows starts getting bad rep about a year before the new one comes out. And it happens on "every one". So 10 is already bad as they have more than likely started working on 11 already lol

if you plan to change motherboard etc then don't install win10 yet otherwise you can't install win10 again with upgrade license.

many not that wanted options are automatically on so read carefully what reads on screen when installing win10.

some progs which worked in win7 won't work in win10.

I did the upgrade the other day. So far, no issues other than having to get used to the interface. Had been running Win 7.

Dont do it. I upgraded and a day later my house was robbed and "they" killed my cat and dog. I suspect it was the new update. Be warned. It knows.

The only negative I found was that an Intel process (Hard Drive related) on my HP machine was eating up 25% of my CPU all the time. Killing the process fixed that with no side effects.

Love it otherwise.

My gf updated from windows 8 to 10 and her laptop no longer gets frozen. I am thinking of doing it on my crappy windows 8 computer as well.

So my laptop wasn't one with specific drivers set up for Windows 10 because it is older than 2013. I'm getting some random audio fluff ups and I can't download the drivers from HP, and the windows ones obviously suck.

But other than some random sound drops that last 1-5 seconds and Windows Device Audio Graph fluffing up all the time, it ain't that bad.
