Landtrading is surely killing this awesome game. Please consider removing ghost acres to stop people doing land trade. Just add more bots!!! Problem solved.

Landtrading is not how this game should be played at all. In fact, I remember many many charges of cheating being waged against an old now defunct alliance for simply doing what most of the large alliances are doing right now. This particular old alliance idd NOT tolerate landgrabs against them. On the other hand, they didn't do landgrabs against anyone either. THey had players that ran countries just to provide other players with land.

Thus, I would be in favor of the elimination of ghost acres too. I would hope to see a corresponding increase in actual landgrabs which should result in increaed retals, etc. This makes for a more exciting game for sure. :)

More bots and leave ghost acres as is (I would prefer to not have to trade to finish well) but the server needs the land. Vamps did really well this set but the current system cant support a few dozen players trying to play the same way.

more bots wouldn't help a fluff since once players figure which countries are bots those are put into very deep dr.

if each player grabs bots ~20 times then server would need 1000+ bot countries to provide enuf non-dr bot countries for everyone.

sure admins could restrict attacks against bots by single player but it wouldn't help much.

also admins could provide each player few landfarm bots which only that player could attack but that would be stupid.

I don't have a problem with ghost acres in general, but ghost acres at high acreage gets a bit out of control. I'll probably finish around where I finished the last time I netted (and traded) and I've had to spend about 5x the time/effort in the process. A bottomfeeding tyr farmer isn't a viable strat if you are competing for the win with the current formulas. That's somewhat disappointing in my opinion.

On the bright side, bots are a step in the right direction. I was having quite a bit of fun this set until I had to adjust things due to a suicider. Competing for bot land and dr camping made me feel nostalgic over how the game was 10 years ago.

This. Bots are a joke and a disgrace to this game. They are a slightly more complicated explore button. There is literally zero risk involved.

anyone who understands the game and actually wanted to nerf landtrading would do completely different things

such as altering the cs formulas

or change dr formulas to be related to percentage of land lost or or lost to another country

or change dict bonuses
