iMagNum's had its own site since 2000. It's entirely custom made and has been modified and improved by a half dozen of our members over our history.

We're not the only alliance to host our own site though, Omega's had one longer than us. Though their site has no Earth tools and is based off of a very old open source forum package, so it's not quite as customized or versatile as ours.

Both the omega site and MUD had lots of earth tools in it.

My recollection of the Omega site was that it was basically just a forum script and then they linked to some third party tools.

I don't think they ever had their own attack sim, advisor/spy op parser, country search, tag database, embassy, news system, market scan... or anything like that. It may have had a stockpile calculator and a tech calculator, or it may have just linked to a third party system -- my memories not good enough to be sure. It certainly didn't have much though.

However, I admit to having never been in their MUD so I don't know what they've got in there. And, of course, this may have changed in the 8 years or so since I last had access to their site. My impression was, though, that it had never changed much.

My experiences are from 1999-2000. They had all of that both in site and in the mud. It would be pretty dumb and worthless not to.

In fact, at the time, they probably had the best attack sim of any alliance built into the mud. It really wasn't until earthstats came along that it was rivaled.

Yeah, Monsters used a free forum. The same ones that Mehul used for AT. I don't know what kind of tools they had though.
