Sucks when the you still have 240 stored turns at this point of the set. I did not get to play much yesterday and c/i is not the correct strategy when you do not have time to peel off some turns and sell on the market. Looking forward to next week.

I am 100% agreed that you need to focus every few hour as for Commie Indy.

I had my first top 10 this set running a NON delayed C/I, it was interesting. If I hit smarter and didn't have to watch my back for mega retals I would have finished higher, though I'm not complaining :p

Another Most Simple strategy to play as All-X C/I

Keep minimum or spies, troops, Jets and Tanks.
You don't need them if you playing All-Xplore.

100% Produce Turrets.
Explore all turns and selling maximum military on market.
Put standing order for Indy following by Bus and Res.

Keep repeating the same boring thing until the end of the game.
You may not won or stay Top 10 of the game.
But minimum 15M of Networth is a sure thing.

Completely forgot to spend my remaining cash last night. My alarm went off, but I didn't get to it in time. Finished 9th despite my incompetence.

I used to play all-x rep and got bored with it though I became fairly consistent with it. Like braden, I am learning the commie/indy strategy and need to work on timing. I had to explore for last few thousand acres yesterday since it was within 6 hours of end, and then just bought out my PM. Still almost had a top 10 with 200+ turns unplayed. I think I would have had my best finish if I could have played Sat and grabbed more land instead of exploring the way I did.

braden, I'm learning as you are...I think we are both rep cashers at heart. My best finish with either strat was a few weeks ago with c/i at $29 mil, but I had to play as often as possible while traveling at the same time. It was tiresome.

You must be referring to my hit (the "topfeed") on you after H2O's second hit on you (the "ROR"). Seeing as I ended up at $26m NW to your $30m NW, my hit on you can't be called a topfeed, since I was just as powerful as you. More powerful in fact, with a Dictator with 28% weapons. It must be because you were scared that you didn't try to retal until 28 hours later (and DH'ded like a Noob). And I notice that you didn't send any of the missiles that you started teching after my hit at H2O either. Hmmm. Don't like a fight?

I play smart getafix. I had already started stocking. Mt do on you was a blind 5 mill jet send. I considered hitting you about 20 times but decided I could still win so thought the better of it. Top feeding is for scrubs. Hitting countries that CAN retal you are scrubs as well. Seems my strategy works to get me ranked 1 often but I don't see you up at the top getafix. Can you beat me next round without hitting me? I doubt it.

You had 11m bushels stocked. You had maximum weapons, but with a theo thats only about 30%, vs my 55%. If you had retaled me you would have had to buy a lot of jets and hit me way below your net worth and not get much. I had double your spy power.

You teched about 100k warfare hoping your missiles would be a deterrent. That was probably pretty smart. I waited for you to use the missiles on H2O in retaliation for his double tap but you didn't. If you had, I would have hit you again since there would be no missile deterrent any more. If you had ROR ed me, nad probably if I had hit you anywya and been missiled, I would have BR's you to death.

So, you played smart in terms of getting the highest networth this time around, but with a weak country. And you snuck out of a fair fight when challenged.

Its a bit tougher fighting your way to the win when you don't have Russian Roulette around to weaken your opponents, or little Eberts to buy your $21 oil. And calling me a rotten top-feeder when I wasn't doesn't change anything

I could prove i wasn't a "Topfeeder" too, I have full comparitive data for the two countries at the time following my strike.

But that would take effort and be boring. Suffice it to say, it was interesting Mexican Standoff between Ebert, H2O and me. I enjoyed finally selling some bushels at 48 when you bought up everything to $85 Ebert.

Anyway, fun game. Farmer is real tough with these bots holding the price down, but it was possible with a tech start and by farming the fluff out of the bots

I once gain ran about 900 turns and then stopped playing, i was in pretty good shape, too, with 11k acres and 4 retals to take at that turn mark.

I will go out on a limb here...90% of people that topfeed do not end up in top 10 that round. If you are top feeding you get retalled. If you get retalled you take a land and nw loss of some sort. Go farm a bot or hit someone that will not retal it is more beneficial in long run. Plus it tends to make you less enemies.
