thats the other thing i was going to mention, that i had no clue about the progression the seahawks have gone through this season

with the panthers the O-line has gotten better, with a talented arizona front 4, the O-line held their own, Cam didn't have all day, but he had enough time for an elite quarterback (not saying Cam played like an elite quarterback). Cam's dropbacks became lazy after he got hit a bit and he didn't have enough space to step into throws. I didn't see a throw off his back foot he didn't complete, or a throw off the front that wasn't perfect I'm sure there were some, but not many)

I don't understand why Cam stayed on the field in the 4th quarter, shouldve taken him out halfway through the 3rd. He was hurt, the Arizona D-line was smelling blood, he lost fundamentals and put himself in worse physical situations. In Carolina, we have the best backup quarterback in the league (in my opinion). Derek Anderson is consistent, he wouldve been a better passer than Cam late in the game. Completely healthy Derek Anderson (to me) is a better option than the Cam I saw in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Derek is more of a game manager and thats what we needed late. Cam got the lead Anderson could have kept it and let Cam get healthy for nexy week. I dont think we can move forward without Cam at his best. Anderson wont beat the seahawks...

Our defence had enough energy left in the game to enforce a YOU SHALL NOT PASS mentality on the last make-no-difference play of the game. We got away with some pass-interference, but i think we lost the refree battle by a landslide...

As a panthers fan, Derrick Anderson is a great backup but please stfu about a dude with a 50% career completion percentage. I would rather have cam in because he can run the zone read and Anderson cant. We are a running team. Get used to it. Cam will refuse to leave a game like that and I see no reason to force him. His back isn't going to get any worse than it already is, it is just going to suck regardless. 20 minutes rest ain't going to change much and the risk reward in a playoff game doesn't warrent your suggestion.

Cam's season average is just above 50 and drops considerably when he's hurting and derek anderson doesn't need' a high percentage to hand the ball off, which is all we should have done late in the game, run, run, run, run, play-action pass, run, run, run, run should have been the narrative late in the game... and no-read option after we secured a two possession lead

Cam isn't our "young QB" anymore, he is one of the leaders of the team. And if you think Cam isn't a team first person, you apparently haven't watched the season. He wouldve been the biggest cheerleader on the sideline

it doesnt seem like you have been watching very long. you dont seem to understand how momentum, chemistry, and development work. or how the opposing team can change its defense up when a tradition QB is in there because they dont have to guard against the zone read. it frees an extra eafety or LB up to fly around and make plays. that wouldnt have been good in wet conditions and a QB that hadnt taken first team reps in preparation for this game. not to mention that his carear TD/INT ratio is 53/55..... in addition, where did i say cam wasnt a team first player.

cam newton IS our young QB. saying otherwise is just silly. he is 25 years old and has only played football at a high level for 5 years. his maturity along with his football skills are still developing, and it was his FIRST playoff win. the momentum we got from him finishing the game is far more valuable than your theory that he could have been hurt worse.that is the type of player cam newton is, and he has been displaying those character traits all his career. it is funny that you dont understand this, yet i am the person that hasnt been watching all season. good joke kid, i literally have every game from the last 5 years on my external hard drive.
