I got my best finish to date, both in ranking and NW. Started out as a techer, resold a bunch of tech, converted to cash around turn 1150. All-x, except for one retal.

I expected myself to see some higher scores, especially with the commies. Maybe there wasn't as many real commies and too many bots not sure. My stuff on market was not going instantly by any means, every sell, but pretty fast and at a lot higher prices than I usually use for all explore. First is first though so congrats to you on that ;)

Were any of those bots? probably not i imagine, but i see a few without GDI

Such a crappy tech set. Tech was 2000 on 3rd day, 1400 4th day and 1000 on 5th day. Food didnt go above $40. I had 100m food stocked but none of them sold so I didnt finish up.

Expected a 43m-45m finish from Netsquash with perfect market conditions like this + you didnt get retalled. No idea what you did wrong but when I spied you at turn 1298, I knew you were nt gonna break 40m.

Well, it's true. I expected at least 45m NW especially with no market competition with the lack of commies this set.

Fair critiques.... but i'm not used to being the big land huge commie finisher, obv got things to tweak on and experience will get me there.... and agreed market conditions were sick. I have some goals in mind to improve my strat to getting a crack at $40m+ next time the conditions are right :)

Look at it this way..room to improve... makes game still fun to play... and challenges me

my thoughts exactly. it won't be long before they are t10, every set. they have the huge advantage of calculating millions of possibilities in seconds.

He probably does not want to have the bots do as good as they could. Bots have all the time in the set as well which also gives them a huge advantage.

The tech market was WEIRD. The prices were super low most of the time, but every now and then would get bought out or close to it, so tech was selling at higher prices, but new tech priced much lower was hitting the market right behind it. I was trading tech on a 500-1000 spread for the last few days of the set.

The tech prices can be explained. There was a thread where some people complained of the excessive farmers. So Qzjul made the comment of adding more techers. What I noticed is this:
Techer places 10k tech at 3300.
Bot places 1.1k tech at 3100
Bot places 1.3k tech at 3000
Techer places 11k tech at 2950
Bot places 1.2k tech at 2700
Bot places 1.5k tech at 2650

What you have here is small amounts of tech dropping the prices of tech. This is an easy fix- The % range could probably be adjusted. And the interval (number of turns) in which the tech is placed on the market. Currently as the code is written is every 20 turns. If it were every 180 turns, the prices wouldn't spiral down as quickly.

The code works like this:
spends turns
place on market
sleep (for 20 turns)
spends turns
place on market
sleep (for 20 turns)

so what could happen instead of placing on market each cycle, have it either read the market info and decide based on (attacks made on them, current market conditions vs last log in, ect.) or have it place it every 5-6 cycles.

I RoR'd by accident...guy retalled me, but no comment, and we are so used to top feeders that I thought that was what he was, so I hit him. After looking back at eestats, I realized he was just retalling a few days after my initial hit. I'm good with that, but had already hit him again. I sent apology once I realized it, but he still suicided on me.

I was on the way to a good finish after getting commie training from a friend.

So if you get a message from me that says, "retal," when I am slow playing a rep/casher, it is because I am trying to remind you so that you do not do what I did and accidently RoR. No hard feelings toward the guy other than it was an honest mistake, and since his game was ruined he wanted to ruin others. I think I had my best game ever going.

Last 2 days been analysing my strategy and what is required to pop 40m NW... i will put it to play this set and see how i can do. Few tinkers and getting to land goal quicker etc... see how it goes
