It would be so much more viable if a few other people did it. Hard to compete with the farmers when they dont have to rebuild as many off spec structures. The landtrading techers seem to do ok.

There were only a couple trading cashers last set.

I still finished 5th running one but def cud have been better with more traders.

Its a sweet NW machine once u get to stocking was cashing about 57mil a turn, after food costs netting 53mil in income per turn during stocking phase.

Run it!!

I've long thought about it myself... Could never work out why people chose farmer right off the bat to trade with lol.

one less tech to purchase, i would guess? not being reliant on others selling for one to stock, would be a second guess?

as a casher we are mathematically forced to buy bushels at any price.. for a farmer, we simply can sell for an unsellable price and not lose any money come destock..

Farmers played properly end up with around 170% bus n res techs too... Cashers end up with less tech.

Like all strats it all ends up market dependant though.

Ehhh if market conditions are rough like last sets high peaks you can just keep trading until bushel peak crashes. A rep cash stocking at an avg bushel price of 42 beats the pants off of any equally sized farmer turn for turn.

Yeah, in properly set up fasher/farmer countries, they'll have almost the same amount of tech, farmer might have more. As farmer I generally go 2:1:1 ag/bus/res (in tech point proportions) whereas a casher would go 2:2 bus/res.

Cashers are at a severe disadvantage before stocking season. They really only catch up after the bushel crash, and depending on your set, that may be too late.

Having to balance two techs early on means you have inflated NW and not so much mil. That means you end up being on the higher end of where people sit, and you are hurting to find good partners. Plus, dict hurts and makes it a struggle to break even before about 25k or so. And then when you're around 30-40k, bushels start to peak and you're kinda out of luck, while farmers are making massive profits and buffing their techs up with the proceeds. Not to mention full set fascist farmer is pretty damn strong too.

Of course, the last time I tried it was before the series of nerfs, so my experience has changed since then. I think DJ Beif tried casher many many times and finally switched to farmer :P

Rep cashers trading with each other would be the way to go.

Yeah, Rep casher trading isn't bad. Hell, I was rep farmer all last set and still almost got top 10. Would have actually been top 10 but I rasped my destock....lol

i'll be around trading... but i'm half farmer half oiler... hoping for an oil spike so i get the cashes :))))) and buy a lod of tech for it... i'll probably switch to techer later on

Also last set was a great set to start off as oiler and switch to farmer at 1 point unfortunately i switched a bit too late and it cost me a fluffload of cash, but considering i started 8 days late and finished top 100 i did ok i guess
