Tech is not very plentiful ATM. I have more bus/res than Indy.

the fact you have any tech at all is hard for me to understand. I guess I should be storing more turns, building more CS, and buying tech instead of growing? That's the only way I can see being able to afford tech, not getting acres/building indies.

Indies early advantage is that it is the most effective with no tech, that's why the top ten right now is 9 commies and a theo, who likely indy started. Tech prices will come down soon enough as more people convert/start selling. Getting more acres is NEVER a bad idea.

Also, having tech can be a multiplier effect. I have more tech, hence I produce more stuff, hence I have more money, hence I can produce more tech. When I play commie I almost always have a day or two of being "tech poor" and struggling to run turns before my tech advantage boosts me past the other guys who decided to wait on the market.

What's your bpt? I don't go for a straight 'optimal for target acreage' bpt as a commie, because throwing up 100 buildings in a turn is freaking expensive and it can be beneficial to build less but be able to afford to spend more turns. Balancing act and all that.

I'm slowly building cs like you vic. I think I'm around 82 bpt right now. I don't like running out of cash because I build too fast... As far as tech goes.. I've been spending about half my monies on indy if it's below 5k, if not I'm getting my business and res. F that 5k tech lol

I've been camping for closer to 4k on indy, I've gotten a good bit of bus/res in the $2800-$3200 range.

I have 53 BPT at the moment and I started grabbing.. logging out with about 30 turns on hand because I don't have enough money to run them, the only tech I have is from grabbing other countries.

I am at 70 bpt, and stopping there. I intend to get MEGA fat, and I intend to grab through the end of the set, and I do not intend to build 100% of my acres by the end. I have had no problems running turns so far, and I just batched. I will start grabbing tomorrow or the day after, depending on people getting fat around me.

Yes, its not that I don't understand that, I just don't understand HOW! At least without sacrificing growth to do it, which must be the answer when military is hovering around $120 per.
