I thought the contract extension the Toronto gave Dion Phaneuf was ridiculous at $7 million per year (I still do), but then I read about PK Subban's contract...which is an absolute joke. He really bent that GM over and rogered him good..
The guy who couldn't even get playing time on team Canada at the olympics getting paid $9 million is laughable. Idiot GMs will pay anything these days...especially for buffoons like these two.

You should read an article before posting - PK's contract was forced by Molson (owner) not Bergevin (GM). Bergevin even went to arbitration because he didn't want to sign him to $9m but with Quebec 49% tax rate and the threat of going to UFA they didn't have a choice.

At least PK produces, can't say the same for Phaneuf - regardless they are all over paid.

Sorry haven't been around in a while, but Vern a team like the Leafs who is (ranked by Forbes) worth the most in the NHL is a complete joke - and as a Habs fan I hate the fact the Leafs has been fluff for so long.

At first it was funny a team in a league of 32 teams where 16 make the playoffs has only made it once in 12 years and the year they made it was 48 games coming off the lockout.

Leafs fans need to start cheering for Buffalo or Arizona because they will have a better rebuild than The fluff box called the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Enjoy watching paint dry for the next 5 years Leafs fans, by that point Montreal will have it's 25th cup.
