the market is bullfluff... it dropped from 120 to 104 again within hours.. I can't even sell again in that time, and even when i can i'm under cutting the 25% i put up hours before....

Please somebody buy this game. Seriously if there is 500 people who play this game still, if we can get it ported to a bigger market there will be 5000 more globally that would!!!!

Realistically there isn't much anyone can do. The majority of the players have been playing forever - it's not like a bunch of new players will be drawn to any text-based game.

THIS set sucks, because everyone is at war.

mafia is a txt based game right? A few million people play that.

Running an indy is difficult.

I doubt mafia(neve played) has as many inegrated math formulas to calculate every precise move as EE. The biggest disadvantage this game has is everyone knowing the calculations to every aspect of the game and barring suiciders/war you can calc everything you do.

You realize you are not required to spend all the cash you have onhand, right?

Honestly the new people eventually end up quitting because they get farmed by the big clans.

I started as an Indie, couldn't make sales so switched to casher then got caught out again because tech prices were astronomical so I did a (very late) tech phase and now I have a half way decent country.

Arithmetical calculatons don't tell you to do such stuff. The game still catches me out regularly. Trying to read the market is also not based on arithmetic but judgment (or rather guesswork).

More players might be nice but I don't see that it is essential. Playing with mostly vets is fun. Also more players might bring back some (or more) cheating and that would be a great pity.

And thats your fault for switching 3x. Prices fluctuate, yes. Everyset. From What it seems arou d the same times. This set, was rough from the server war.

Bushells and oil are more volatile than they used to be (leaving aside the regular market manipulations which used to take place) and that must be a function of numbers. It only takes one extra country or one less country to play oiler to make a big difference to oil prices.

I think earth empire can have a lot more player if you make a facebook app game. It is not too hard to make a portal on facebook, you keep server information and database etc.
