why is it that farts always smell more potent when you're in the shower compared to another compact space, say a car?

what smell enhancing property does water have?

try not to use big words, for i am only 14 and big words confuse me

As far as I understand it, the moist and warm air in the shower makes your nose better at smelling

yea it could be cause ur nasal passages are more open in the shower from the warm water/steam.. or im gunna go with the chemicals in the virginia water ur exposed too

Was it hot or cold shower? Hot usually always makes stuff stink worse. Maybe someone that takes cold showers could add something.

most of the bad smelling compounds in a fart are thiols, which are not water soluble. i believe some thiols actually react with water to form a more nasty smelling thiol.
