Seems the FFA mods allow them or they are too busy to see the obvious.

How about you report it like you should, not "EVERYONE" has time to sit here and read all the forum posts unlike marshal. There is a proper way in to report it in your country, utilize it and I will see it instead of throwing out accusations and "assuming".

Lastly, You can always forum pm to me and direct me to the link. There is ways to handle things to get my attention vs....sitting there assuming stuff and saying I allow multis. Proper communication is effective sir. I am also pretty much idling on irc all the time. and you see that little siggy below..... you can find me on skype too ;)

I would think that if - I - were in charge of a particular Forum, I'd probably have enough time to catch a dude more than once openly stating he was running multis.

Previous to this last admission the dude a few days ago straight up said "him and his brother" were running all 64 or their countries firght here on FFAt. SO not once, but TWICE this was missed by Moderators.

Simple solution is just to add a Mod that patrols FFA.

I patrol the FFA countries with the tools we use and I check about 3 times a day. As I said before, you all can forum pm. Sherita I don't show anything that you pm'd me on irc yesterday.
martian doesn't continually read the AT forums either, noone ever has an issue with contacting him. If there is an issue with me as an FFA mod, you can go see martian.

So any of you going to direct me to the issue or we going to keep on going about this.

Why doesn't Admin just put a Cheater Report sticky topic on each forum? If a player is THAT convinced someone is cheating, he or she certainly wouldn't hesitate to post on it.

There is report button in your country. Primary players have no problem using it to report stuff to me, even if they read it on the primary forums.

W/e ffa will always police for itself..good thing said player really was a noob and could only kill 4 countries with 64. That being said im sure jj would like the 8 mil tech back that he lost.

Not really. It doesn't take a "full report" to spend 3.62 minutes looking down thru 15 or 20 recently added to threads to spot potential problems. If cheating happens in one, four or 8 hours and doesn't get caught, I get it. However, when some asshole repeatedly thumbs his nose at the rules and a MOD doesn't "see it", that might be a problem.

Doesn't seem to happen on any other server. IMHO, do the job or do not. If you don't want to do the job and be diligent about it, that's fine. Especially if you're doing it for free. But doing it for free doesn't mean you can't be diligent. There are a LOT of people out there with no life that would be plenty proactive.

Nobody has any way of knowing how long it will take a Mod to address one of 100 issues PM's to them, but I can guarantee that if there is a specific sticky thread OR the responsible Mod diligently looks at "new posts" once a day, this fluff doesn't happen.

What good is a Game Moderator if they're simply waiting for people to come to them when stuff they should be looking at is right in front of their face? If they don't want to procatively parse through the Forum they're RESPONSIBLE for on a daily basis, then let's make it easy for them and have a sticky thread that identifies potentioal cheaters.

forum mods are different than game mods although game mods can mod forums too but basically you are somewhat right (lack of time to read every thread i think since for example Gally has family to take care).

i think you all are being unfair to galleri when the blame can be placed on you all as well. a simple pm or a heads up would have been easier and im sure she would have acted if she could.

I'm not blaming galleri at all. I simply stated through out all of this suggesting that they appoint additional help. At I replied to galleri regarding her statement about how often she checks.

I check the server sweep system about 2 times a day. This server is about the most quietest server normally in terms of behaving. It is normally express, tourney, and primary where all the major cheating goes on.
From what I understand the two game mods of this server knew of the issue and neither alerted me or martian.....sherita has informed that she even went to Red X. This whole situation makes me a sad panda. I am supposing I need to sit here and read FFAT all day , everyday.

Well you should check the ffa forum daily as it's part of your duties as ffa game mod

Plus it's only 3-4 threads a day, max of 15 posts

And if that is the case then why is it on the solo servers, which on of them you mod you even have posted a quote that martian first put up stating:

It isn't the duties of the game mod to read the threads looking for this every day. If you think someone is cheating or something has been missed, these things need to be reported either via the tool ingame, to a game mod via a forum pm, or to me (if you think the game mod isn't responding or are unhappy with the response).

This is the same as on all the other servers.

You are welcome to try contacting someone via irc or any other way (in private) but those are probably the best ways.

A lot of us probably assumed that when a player or players makes a post or in this case more than one ON the particular Server Forum that the Moderator OF that Forum saw the public admission of cheating.

We know better now. Thanks for the clarification and your dilligence in doing your Moderator Job. Although if Moderators do not read what is posted on the boards they moderate with any regularity, perhaps you might explain what a Moderator DOES do?

That's what I gather. It's not a Moderators job to Moderate the Forums they are assigned to but aren't obligated to patrol them TO "moderate" anything.

What I'm saying is that you are going about it the wrong way. If you can take the time to make a post on the forum, you can take the time to private message myself or a mod via these forums (you can even message more than one, or all of us if you like).

We've actually posted repeatedly on the forums on this issue noting that such matters are best dealt with privately and to message a mod privately. You *will* get a response to any reasonable request.

If you are unhappy with a moderators actions, feeling ignored, or just want a virtual hug, feel free to bring up the issue with myself or with an admin (in private). We generally aren't going to respond to these types of complaints when posted on a public forum as it is counterproductive.
