Have many of you are celebrating and what are you doing to celebrate?


We boiled 200lbs of crawfish for family and friends and cooked hamburgers and hotdogs for those that didn't like crawfish.


Oh and for those of you that serve or have served I salute you! Hooyah!

Spent the day at the cemetery, talking to old friends.

Been there done that. Very respectable

im spending it not speaking german or living under fascism.

joke aside, its my favourite american holiday. yall are aces.

I'm in the airport now, but I spent the last 3 days camping with 100,000 of my good friends and attending a couple competitive circle driving events. Been a memorial day tradition for almost 2 decades. The food, the moonshine, the people, ain't nothing like it on the planet. Murica

i have not had the pleasure of trying it, darrian. and i'd guess, in toronto, if i were to go find some, it just wouldn't be.. right.

i was watching History Channel's WWII in HD, but apparently, i remember too much of it this year. switched to the Hollywood fictionalized versions because the women have bigger breasts. not my fault. I'm trying to find something to distract me from the Grinding Rumble that is Rumble Roses XX. I'd really like to complete the achievements, so that i only have to play it to avoid a wet dream or a real woman.

200lbs is insane!

It was great!! I saved one batch of about 10lbs for me only! We added pineapple, corn, garlic , sausage, weenies and 10lbs of shrimp to it. Everyoe had a blast !

Do you live in the south? I don't think there's 200lbs of crawfish in my state lol.

I spent the weekend helping retrieve two burnt corpses from a wrecked tractor trailer and cleaning up 38,000 lbs of chicken guts off of the side of a mountain.

NOT how I planned it, but at least two of the participants in the festivities had a way worse weekend than me.

A crawfish boil would have rocked way muy bueno. I sure as hell won't be eating chicken for a while.

Currently helping French and Albanian Infantry learn how to fight as part of a US Army combined arms battalion and a US lead multinational brigade. Yesterday was the main opfor attack against the allied prepared defense so I didnt even notice it was Memorial Day. :( Wish I had because I would have worn my 12th Armored Division association shirt -- my father was in the 12th (Hellcats) and also visited this little piece of Germany... in 1945. :)

I spent the day comforting some old shipmates and Marines who have lost loved ones this year. I wish I could ease their grief better, but I'm just not built that way, I suppose.

God rest all my veteran brothers who didn't make it to today.

Amen brother, very tough day for many vets, my brother really struggles on this holiday, he had friends blow to pieces less then 200 yards in front of him while in Iraq.
