BUT I THINK THE SELECTION OF NETWORTH AS "THE" GOLD STANDARD, AND THE MAINTENANCE OF LIFETIME (OF THE GAME) STATS TRACKING IT IS LEADING TO BAD THING. FOR THE GAME TO THRIVE THERE *NEEDS TO BE* A BALANCE (I BELIEVE THIS IS ALONG THE LINES OF WHY SAM MADE HIS RECENT POST ABOUT THE ISCODE KERfluffLE THAT GOT A FEW PEOPLE RILED UP). The problem with this, Bill, is that you are claiming EE to be a war game. I have always seen EE has a netgaining game, never a war game. In fact, the description says

"Earth Empires is a free browser based strategy game where you take control of your nation's military and economy. Command your country's military to attack and defend against your enemies. Execute attack strategies to relieve opponents of their resources and land. Strategically invest in technology to outpace the economies of other countries. Ally with your friends or make new friendships by joining a clan. Conduct military operations, govern your country and build your empire."

All of that points to making the largest and best possible country, the biggest empire, the largest NW, and warring is just a part of achieving that goal if you need to employ it. Warring was never the main focus of the game. Warring is merely a means to being the largest, but warring was not the goal in itself.

Players have merely decided to play a different game from the intended networth goal because it is amusing to them to do so.

i dunno Xinhaun, going by what u copy and pasted.. the word economics is used twice.. while military is used 3 times the word attack is used twice and the word defense used once.. thats 6 times something warring related is used vs somethign netting related twice...
